Just installed side mirror auto flip module and an OBD module that controls auto-lock function. Works like a charm smile.gif

AutoLock OBD module locks the car when its in 'D', and unlocks when shifted to 'P'. Additionally, with the OBD module, now the brake lights lit up whenever I lock the car, and the horn is activated if alarm is triggered.

The auto flip module is installed inside one of the door panel. Flips open when the engine starts, and closes when car is locked (either using key fob or button at door).

Costs less than RM400 for both, and best part is Plug and Play.

on the contrary, paddle shift is mandatory equipment for anyone who is younger than 60 years old for the following 2 reasons:

1. low torque at high revs. compared to golf and 308 and focus which all produce 250nm at 1500rpm, the skyactive 2.0 is weak below 2000 rpm.

2. engine braking. why wear out your brake pads and brake discs unecesarily?
u can put the gear stick in manual mode.
*
1. How fast do you need to pickup? Do you have to drag race at traffic lights with everybody?

2. Brake pads are meant to be worn out. Engine braking will wear out your engine which is much worse.

seriously ? do u imagine u are in a 1000hp Ferrari ? wake up man, we are driving a slowpoke 200nm/3000rpm 1400kg front-wheel drive C-segment. its not like u have a surfeit of power.

and fyi if I wanted to drag race at traffic lights I would simply need to push the throttle pedal down until it hits the kickdown switch. seems u have no clue what are the common use cases for paddle shifts.

engine braking does not wear out the engine. that's not how it works.

EA Autoworks, located at Aked Esplaned, Bukit Jalil. Look for Howie Choo.

Have been sending all my family rides there (service, upgrades, part replacements), very satisfied with the workmanship. Downside of a trustworthy shop is the volume of cars that come in -- you may need to fix appointments a few days in advance.

Installation takes roughly 1 hour.

No, I don't imagine I'm in a 1000hp Ferrari. I also don't think I'm driving a slow poke car. Where did you get all the extreme ideas?

If paddle shifts are so essential why isn't every car equipped with them? Or is it only for you that they are mandatory?

Engine braking is very stressful to your gearbox and transmission system. You can bust your gearbox by down shifting inappropriately and they are far more expensive to replace than brake pads. If you have been using paddle shifts for engine braking you should educate yourself what brakes are for.

really ? 0-100 in 9 seconds is not slowpoke for you ? ok whatever u say grandpa. maybe u should try driving a jetta or 308, the torque would open your eyes.

maybe because it costs money ?

u cannot bust your gearbox because your car is smart enough not to let u over-rev even if u command it to downshift.

anyway nobody is asking u to bang it all the way to 6000 rpm every time. just dropping 1 gear is enough to slow down the car a bit. again its obvious u have no clue how to use paddle shifts.

teach u how to save money u don't want to learn. do u enjoy paying to change the brake discs and pads ? do u enjoy wiping the brake dust off your rims ?

If you shift to N and somebody unlocks one door to get out does the door relock when you shift to D?

The brake light lighting up when you lock your car is a better indicator than just the signal lights. Would be really ideal for GL owners if the horn can give a toot as well.

I remembered the SA told me before Mazda 3 don't have horn alarm, also can't find the on/off alarm button via the smart key. So far, I also dunno how to trigger the Mazda 3 alarm (if got), if anyone experience before, please show in here.

Saw this via mudah.com that Mazda 3 Skyactiv equipped the below item:
Burglar Alarm with Immobilizer

Wonder how to activate the alarm. I know if leave the engine on, and close door with smart key away from car, there was beep sound to warn you. Never experience the horn alarm before.

I try to open rear boot with key fob but not working.
Why ha? Is it because I stand too close to my car?

I also noticed a button near reverse cam module. Just like door button. Is it for lock the boot or to release the boot?

How about let one door open, then press lock button on key fob.
So that it detect the car is not lock properly.
Can someone try? My car is not near me to try this. Haha.

If you are using Android under bluetooth settings under Mazda paired device make sure "message access" is checked.
