Guys, I need some advice. I got my M3 HS for a few weeks now. Due for the 1k service.

My complains is that I'm not getting the FC that I read on here. My avg is still 10.0L/100km and for some reason I cant get the blindspot alert to work.

Is this something to look into because I'm abit worried.
*
Bro, firstly, the indicator on the side mirror does it works?

Next, does the "RVM" is indicated in GREEN light at the instrument panel there? And also you can do some setting with the MZD like beep volume.
Be remind that the RVM only works when speed above 30 km/h.

About the FC. 10 L/100km is possible when most of the time you are in heavy traffic. Actually, to me, the current FC is useless.. hahaha.. Just to show how light or heavy you accelerate...

QUOTE(kluseng @ Nov 19 2015, 12:25 PM)
For those driving HS is it worth paying RM1300 to SC to upgrade your MZD for navigation? Are the maps up to date and can you find landmarks easily? I know can use a smartphone but it's never pleasant to get a call when you are navigating.
*
Not recommended as the Navi sucks. hahaha... While apps such as Google Maps or Waze allows you to key in "Sunway Pyramid", the Navi in Mazda requires you to enter full address, in eg as below.

Street Name: Jalan PJS11/15
Postcode: 46150
Town/City: Petaling Jaya
States: KUALA LUMPUR

I find it is very lousy to use. If you have the full address, then it would be useful to someone like my dad, who doesn't has data or using smartphone. I helped him to set the destination, and he just drive accordingly.. nod.gif

About answering phone calls, I am actually pairing it to MZD (bluetooth). I find it useful when I am driving and there is incoming calls. So when there is incoming calls, I will just use the MZD to answer.

But it will be different story when you are fetching your friends or somebody else, you may not want to disclose who is calling you or the content. Who knows mana satu awek or amoi wrongly call your number... tongue.gif

Walau, this is very inconvenient to use. You need to get the full address first to set the destination. In that case may as well use Waze or Google Map and hopefully a cheap mirrorlink solution can be found in future.
*
QUOTE(david.tth @ Nov 19 2015, 02:46 PM)
nope you dont have to key in all the address. sorry i dont have car with me now to screen shot, but there is a place u just need to key in the name like "sunway" it will show you the nearest related sunway to the further sunway.

if you get connected to your 3G phone, it will tell the traffic situation, i've yet try this out smile.gif
*
kluseng, I haven't try the method as told by david.tth, but there is another method is you search for nearest point, then on the map you drag around and set the destination point. This method is without entering full address.

david.tth, do provide some guidance too.. I just too lazy to discover how to use it. About the traffic thing, I've been connecting my hotpost. But the option is disabled and nowhere i can find other option to activate the traffic thing.

all Bros...can u listen  yr car  have a sound like "ye~~~~" when slowly speed up. like electric airplane sound?
*
Speed up takde... but slow down got.. the sound more likely to "yi~~~~~~" then slowly become quiet.

Bro kluseng, tested the Navigation "search by POI" function.. It can search nearby Places which registered on the map. Quite convenient I would say, but I still prefer using smart phones for the real time updates.

I just gave him a cold smile back.... laugh.gif
Opps..that's when I heavy peddle up the speed...
*
LoL... Zoom Zoom become Yi~~~~~~ hahaha...

I dont take it seriously. Not an annoying sound but also doesnt sound something serious is going to happen. Maybe something is recharging? or rubbing happen? Will ask SC if it become louder and passenger could heard it..

Install HID ka? I don't know eh.. I don't recommend shop to ppl. As every customer tends to have different experience when doing purchasing. What is good to me might not be fine to you.

But do send PM to some good reputation sellers here. Like Howie from EA autoworks, and Shorty5. This is what I know in lowyat forum only. May as well wait for other member's opinion.

So the skyactiv thingie nothing to shout about. FC seems very normal. If can get 5-6L /100km city drive then its great
*
Lol bro.. I am thinking are you joking here? This figure is somehow comparing with the Axia.. Even the City also cannot achieve this FC.

Btw, pure city driving here too.. 20km distance (daily would be 40+ km), from Puchong to TTDI, extremely heavy traffic. crawling with average speed 25km/h, 1 hr drive to reach destination. Each refuel around rm 80, last me for +- 500km..

You mentioned 500km.. is that from full tank until refuel lights turn on?
Im also on pure city driving, 20km per day with medium to high traffic. Avg speed is 21km/h... im getting 9.5 - 10.8l/100km avg FC.
*
QUOTE(KennyKB @ Nov 25 2015, 02:05 PM)
Are you driving HS or GL? Just wondering if the difference in FC with toonny could be due to difference specs.
*
Hi xxAriesxx, FYI, I'm driving HS. Refuel when 2 little tiny fuel bar left. Each refuel would be around 80 - 84.
About the avg speed, I'm not sure how consistent and how it will lead to the FC calculation. So the figure is purely based on the info provided by the system.

I reset trip A everytime I refuel. And also use Fuelly to keep track. Maybe I'm kind of light footer also, hence this figure.
Check out my Fuelly signature for the tracking. smile.gif

Thank you for your reply!  notworthy.gif

Yes all those items listed are quite fancy but I can live without fancy such as cruise control, auto windshield wiper, powerseat, paddle shifters etc.

What really caught my eye and make me consider the HS is the safety features such as Smart City Brake System (SCBS), Rear Vehicle Monitoring System (RVM), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS). These are quite useful features,. especially the SCBS. Has anyone tried SCBS and how well it works?  hmm.gif

Crawled through the forum and google can't get much info on the SkyTint film that Mazda is offering for RM1900,  any members here installed Skytint for their Mazda? How is it?

Very hard to get a test drive in Johor bahru, the branch at permas jaya (Azam Motors) only got 1 test car and the other branch Rias Auto don't even have a test car.  yawn.gif
*
Yes, indeed. The RVM does it jobs very well everytime I switch lane. SCBS, save me twice before hitting the toll barrier. Smart tag detected but barrier not open, vmad.gif The SCBS kicked-in and for the first time I'm frighten due to weird noise and strange vibration, as the ABS and Brake was activated. A few incidents such as other vehicles or motorcycles cut lane and distance is too close, the SCBS also kicked-in. Freaked out my colleagues.. LOL..

To me, Lane Departure is only useful when you are cruising on highway. I switch it off during city driving as it will be quite annoying whenever you do lane changing.

If the scbs is emergency brake then is very dangerous for behind following car.
*
Hahaha.. Think it this way.. rather than hitting the vehicle in front, might as well let ppl rear-ended and can still claim insurance.. hahaha.. tongue.gif

Actually it is not that dangerous, as the activation speed is during 4 - 30 km/h. So for the car behind if you drive 30km/h and still stick to you too close, it's his fault for not keeping safe distance.

And I read from manual that it will bring the car to total stop for 2 seconds, then only release the brake. But in my case, it is not that way. The SCBS like helps you brake, but not to total stop. and once you accelerate, the car move as well. rclxms.gif

LOL! Having  a car hit your back is certainly preferable to you hitting the car in front. Damage will be less severe and the other party is guilty. Under Malaysian law whoever hits somebody's back is guilty irrespective of how sudden the car in front brakes.

But if it doesn't bring your car to a total stop you can still hit the object in front. Is it possible you accelerate before your car reached total stop and the SCBS was cancelled?
*
As I mentioned earlier, the manual said will bring the vehicle to total stop for 2 seconds, but in my case it is not. Maybe it also detect the object distance either it is pulling away or standstill.

Here's the scenario:
While in the traffic, 1 vehicle suddenly cut lane and slow down in front of me. I am thinking the distance is safe so i didn't press on brake while letting the my car moving slowly (speed is just less than 10 km/h). But SCBS kicked-in and brake, then once the car in front moved forward, the SCBS deactivated. I have not do anything due to slow response blush.gif (lol at myself, got frighten again by the SCBS because when activated, the noise is very scary, hahaha sweat.gif ).

But different story at toll barrier. The car just COMPLETELY stop in front of the barrier. So, to me, SCBS was tested under different scenario and it works awesomely. thumbup.gif

Just an update guys. Those who experience the squeaking absorber when driving after rain can head to Mazda Glenmarie. I was asked to come just for inspection before they can put me on waiting list but then they said they changed the lower arm bush d. Looks like the have some more stocks? *Initially they said need to wait few months for stocks from Japan*.
Also they put stopper to remove the knock knock sound.
Im a happy M3 owner now smile.gif
*
Hi bro, thanks for the great info. So you mean they replaced it for you already? How long you waited for the parts replacement?

4) I got the car and it's quite bumpy, possibly because it's over inflated, what tyre pressure do you recommend? I tried looking for tyre pressure monitor function but not available, I guess this doesn't come with the CKD HS model?

Thank you all!
*
I do find it is quite bumpy when i got my car. Right now I keep mine at 250 - 260 kpa all time. Unless I know I will be fetching more ppl then I'll pump 280 kpa.
