Wanna share my story: Port out from Digi postpaid to Yes prepaid
1-Ask online Yes team what to do for port in they tell to cancel all contract on the postpaid, no supplementary lines, no outstanding bills.
2- Went to Digi store Alamanda ask for cancel postpaid contract and separate my family line for porting to Yes purpose. Done my wifey line separated into own prepaid line. Ask them I also have Fibre under contract how about the account. They said no issue.
3- Went to Yes store Nilai they said only do postpaid port in no prepaid. They said need go to Seremban Prima for prepaid.
4- Arrived at Seremban Prima Yes store they said my postpaid still tied to fibre account. Need to separate that 1st. Already cursing at Digi.
5- Went to nearest Digi store at Seremban (6min from Seremban Prima). Done separate fibre from postpaid account.
6- Go back to Yes store Seremban Prima and did the port in both me & wifey.
7- Wake up next day with msg from Digi said both me & wife port out request got cancelled due to INCORRECT IC NUMBER REGISTERED.
8- Went to Digi Alamanda again to check IC issues. They said 4 last numbers got typo and they fix it.
9- Now waiting for Digi to properly port out our request.
*On fibre account I asked to cancel contract and then downgrade from 1Gbps to 100Mbps, Digi store said can done need to pay RM50 to cancel contract and did the downgrade. Said to follow up with Digi ticket in app. Now the AI replied cannot downgrade then when I explained what Digi store said then got reply said to escalate further need to wait.
Digi fibre or what ever fibre has 24 months contract. You must use for 2 years before you can terminate. Early termination for fibre plan you need to pay the remaining months. There is no such thing as you want to cancel contract.
During the 2 years period, you can upgrade but cannot downgrade plan. After 2 years you can change to lower plan but usually will renew another 2 years contract.
