^ FYI, Ubuntu is Linux.

Support 3 OS as multiple boot or run 3 OSes at the same time with VM?

Can give the download link for the VMware? Look like need to pay for it? And also, which download version should i download? For example, Ubuntu offers burn into CD/USB drive one, window installer, and alternative download...window installer i tried before, always stuck at the download. Sorry for silly questions~XS

I visit the site http://releases.ubuntu.com/lucid/ . Wondering which one shud I choose. My lappy is Compaq Presario CQ40-420AU AMD TurionX2 64 proc.. Shud I choose AMD 64 or Intel x86 for better performance ?

Looks like your machine is running AMD processor 64-bit
You should choose to download the distro based on it's architecture as kernel is compiled based on it
so AMD 64 it is

Can anyone teach me how to change Debian 6 DE from Gnome to Xfce. As a screen real estate extremist, I find Gnome really cramped to work with.
Also, my internet is slow, so if there any downloading required, I have to do it at CC (no downloading through terminal).
