Hi. I am going to Bangkok next month (mid of January) for a 5D4N trip with a couple of my friends. It will be my first BKK trip ever. Has anyone stayed in BKK serviced apartment before? Is it cheap? We hope to stay in an apartment with separate bedrooms.

QUOTE(ihawk98 @ Dec 14 2006, 03:02 PM) Be careful when you walk along Soi Nana (Nana Lane), especially in front of the Grace Hotel. They will ask you if you're interested in sex services by Russian / Uzbekistan girls. Some of them are actually hard to resist, with tall frame and long legs.Nana is the hub for Middle Eastern tourist. You'll find plenty of Mid-East food outlets, and the kebabs are pretty good too. There's night shopping along the main road, but most of the time you'll probably see lots of walking "women of the night". Also lot's of xxx DVDs on sale there. |

Silom area has alot of peddlers selling xxx DVDs too. They just flash you cards that read "Sex DVD for sale". It was near O'Reilly's Irish Bar next to Sala Daeng's BTS station.

Sawasdee krup guys
Currently I'm ini Bangkok for a business trip, will be here until Friday. Unfortunately this trip is working purpose, I only have spare time to walk around at night. Frankly speaking I'm more interested in sight-seeing (especially to religious places with exotic buildings). And I'd like to buy some special christmas presents for my frens. Any place you guys can recommend? (I wish to buy some cute, special christmas gift for my female friends. I went to Siam discovery, MBK & Central Point yesterday, and honestly only a shop called B2S in Central Point offers what I want. Any other places that I can find those cute cute special thingy?) Khob khun krup then |

QUOTE(tytaniumism @ Dec 18 2006, 03:49 PM) Sawasdee krup guys try Emporium or Siam Paragon. There should be shops that offer the cute cute things that you saw at B2S. one such shop is called propaganda if i remember correctly. the anchor tenant department store (can't remember the name off hand) at Siam Paragon should have those things as well (like pillow cases, salt pepper shaker, coasters etc).Currently I'm ini Bangkok for a business trip, will be here until Friday. I'm quoted!!!!!!!!Yeah rite, it's not that hectic, at least still got time at nite. PM me if you want my Thailand phone number So far I haven't visited much places yet except - Taking a walk nearby the Nana area (very quiet that time, bought some road side food) - Chidlom Central (high class shopping mall it seems, didn't walk much just had a dinner there) - Suan Lum Night Bazaar (quite an interesting place, nice food there. But things aren't that cheap to be frank) This post has been edited by samurai1337: Dec 18 2006, 11:38 PM |

QUOTE(samurai1337 @ Dec 18 2006, 09:16 PM) LOL! I'm quoted!!!!!!!! Yo brother, haven't visited much? It's just your FIRST DAY in Bangkok, and you've already covered areas that took me 1 week to visit!Yeah rite, it's not that hectic, at least still got time at nite. But things aren't that cheap to be frank) Nana = quiet? I think you went too early. Try walking there after 10PM. You'll get a shock of your life. More like Chow Kit area Central Chidlom is nice, but yeah, the stuffs there are for high society people. I sometimes walk around there, just to "appear" high class... but never really did buy anything at all Suan Lum Night Bazaar might be tourist area, but if you know how to bargain, you can get good deals, almost as good as in Chatujak. Since you'll probably spend the weekend in Bangkok, don't miss out on the Chatujak weekend market. Take the BTS to Mochit station, and it's right there. Enjoy your work-holiday trip there, dude! |

QUOTE(sonyclie77 @ Dec 18 2006, 11:41 PM) Go hunting in MBK complex. It's like Sungai Wang Plaza. Lots of phones there. But I think the Malaysian hand phones are better. At least you can send SMS in Chinese. If you buy phones from Thailand, they might not support Chinese, and key pad is cluttered with Thai characters (like mine): |

Samurai: How long have you been there? LOL I cant believe either you said Nana is a quiet place, I went there on Sunday and I was in complete shock!!
Anyway I stay at somewhere next to Emporium. But because I reached hotel kinda late (around 10pm), there's basically nowhere for me to visit oredi... Samurai bro, any particular place that you'd like to visit? Sunbeams & ihawk98: Thanks for da info. I visited Loft oredi, but nothing really caught my eyes leh... and the things are quite pricey also. Same as dunno-wat-shop I found in Emporium. B2S is the best... too far for me though.. Anyway I've been to Khaosan road, Nana & Asok area (jz stroll around, ntg erotic This post has been edited by tytaniumism: Dec 19 2006, 01:37 PM |
