just wondering if anyone knows what other alternative budget airline to take from KUL to KIX, besides AirAsiaX ... or is that the only option? don't mind exploring connecting flights as well (if there is any).

i just ran another search..jetstar japan do have some cheap tix
just now i dnt know click what ...came out something double the price
and jetstar japan seem to have a better flight time

dear sifus, considering to go japan for winter next year. if i book my domestic flight 1 day before my departure flight back to Malaysia, will there be risk of missing my departure flight?
it is during Feb (winter) and as I know snow can sometimes make flight cancellations or big delays.
for domestic flight, price wise not big difference between jetstar, vanilla and peach. reliability wise, which is better?

I kena before twice that even the subway/metro attendant (guard?) refuse to help me cos he don't want or don't know how to speak English lol.

i got different suggestion, try driving from Nagoya at the morning
you will arrive in gero about 2 hours, try gero 噴泉池, free and beside river
after that you can proceed to takayama
You may choose to stay in takayama or Hirayu onsen or Okuhida onsen staying one night
the next day you can proceed to shirakawa-go, suggest to stay one night there
at night you can drive up to the mountain, for the peaceful village night view and also the milky way, it is so damn beautiful especially at winter time.
you may proceed to kanazawa or go back to nagoya
if you like natural, suggest you plan more day around takayama area.
around end of April, Kamikochi will be open up for forest hiking and lodging, and will be close at mid of November

PS: i would recommend must stay at 槍見館, i had one of the best kaiseki in Japan
especially the beef, 10x better than overate kobe beef

but u can only njoy it during mid of oct
and ya i think by mid of nov for autumn viewing in tokyo/kyoto is the best time

sept+oct might encounter typhoon (i think HK, Taiwan oso the same)

huh.. kyoto snowing d? my friend is in kyoto now, didnt mention about snowing, and in her pics there's no snow either. Next year i'll be in kyoto at this time ><

Hi, sorry to bring on the currency exchange topic again as I think this is relevant to Japan's travel and also to stop more confusion.

When you want to exchange MYR to JPY in Japan, you should look at the buying rate instead of the selling rate coz at Japan, MYR is foreign currency (外货) so the money changer is buying MYR from you. For eg: based on today's Kansai Airport's exchange rate, buying MYR is 24.59, if you want JPY100,000, you need to pay 100,000/24.59=4,066.69 which is damn expensive.

I have confirmed this fact with the money changer during my recent trips to Japan as I have brought extra RM apart from JPY to Japan. At the end, I didn't make any exchange due to the higher rate, and the yen that I brought over from Malaysia was more than enough.
