Initially I will be spending the whole trip (9/5-15/5) staying in Osaka, and do a 2 days day trip to Kyoto.
But, after some discussion with friends, they suggested to spend 2 nights in Kyoto.
So, the new plan is:
9/5/2016 arriving Osaka (KIX) at 10:30pm, find a nearby hotel/capsule hotel to rest.
10/5/2016 head to Kyoto and stay 2 nights there
12/5/2016 head back to Osaka and stay with a house booked via Airbnb

anyone had experience capsule hotel in Osaka before?
*
capsule nope... love hotel... yes

and really can heard the action, day and nite non-stop sweat.gif

Just wondering...

Booked a flight to Sapporo next year March for a short trip...

My bad without looking properly at the arrival date and left 3 days exactly from my departure date. Also my partner cannot take so many off days... Anyway, just around RM530 for return flight for 2 person for AAX.

So, let's see what can we do for the best out of these three days... Need some of your suggestion...

Day 1: Midnight flight to Sapporo

Day 2:
Arrived bout 8:30AM local time
- Plan to do half day skiing at nearby location, any suggestion?
- Any onsen nearby worth a visit?
- at night, if time permit, planning to do King Crab buffet at Nanda.

Day 3:
Otaru - One day trip

Day 4:
Any suggestion?

Day 5:

Morning 8:45am flight home ... arrive KL 5PM? doh.gif

Wondering if RM1500 is enough for these short trip for 1 person? Exclude accommodation with breakfast buffet and flights.

I had just booked and paid Tokyo Dome Hotel Sapporo at a very wowed price for all my nights... ^^
*
March... spring... hmm.gif

i think u can choose Jozankei or Noboribetsu
i went during autumn, both nice

Nope
Advise u oni start to use it when u really start heavy travelling
Such as long distance, alot of interchange and going to area is not cover by metro

Metro not cover eg JR train... Odaiba... othet forget

lucaswjk Sounkyo those hiking trails to the mountain summit how hardcore is it? Wear normal sneakers can liao or must buy those real hiking boots?

[edit] hmm some blog say if wanna hike to the peak need proper shoes or rent boots

http://www.frommers.com/destinations/sounkyo/620241

I suppose in October it will be farking cold as well huh. Gotch go down to 0deg?

Summoning RegentCid oso.

[edit2] hmm it seems around mid September the summit already normally snowed in and no more colours. And in early October when we go probably it will be snow, ice and mud. Is it adviseable for two 30-something inexperienced hikers to go up? Footwear, I read that can rent rubber boots from 7th station Hut?
*
i went during oct (~10th) oso... freaking cold...
got icing/snow after the second ropeway and all the way to the top

im wearing jogging shoe... so it is slippery but acceptable for me
and got 1uncker from hong kong wear hiking sandals... he said no problem

fyi my shoe didnt wet, but the other guyz yes...
if u didnt hv hiking boot, i recommended u at least wear hiking sandals

---
my review... the autumn foliage is perfect at mid of oct
coz mid of sept to oct, many tree is still green
i purposely change my flight to okinawa (delay 1week+) before i goto hokkaido

---
sounkyo must hike!!! the view on top is mesmerizing wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif
u need to see it to believe tongue.gif

sifus,

would it be possible for one day trip to Kamakura + Enoshima? worth it to purchase Enoshima-Kamakura Freepass?

i will be staying in Hakone for 1 night and plan to go Fuji Q highland next day. should i purchase Fuji Hakone Pass or i just go with the Hakone Pass plus paying extra transport to Fuji Q? it might not really worth it as i don't really explore Fuji surrounding area right?
*
Fuji Hakone Pass (3days pass) will entitle u

1 way Shinjuku <-> Hakone (Train), can topup to Romance Car
1 way Kawaguchiko Station <-> Shinjuku (Bus)
Unlimited Hakone Ropeway
Unlimited Hakone Cable Car
Unlimited Hakone bus
Unlimited Hakone bus to Gotemba
Unlimited Hakone Boat Ride

i dont think there is any odakyu bus in fuji area except bus to shijuku/gotemba

so wat u think?

as Day 6 need to rush back ryokan for the dinner around 7pm (fix timing for dinner). enough time to go Gotemba after the Hakone loop? won't be in Fuji Q be whole day as some of my friends not dare to ride those too extreme games  laugh.gif that's why thought after check out Hakone go to Fuji Q than only go Gotemba after that back to Shinjuku accommodation and stroll Golden Gai at night.

RC sifu, how about other days? will it be too rush or packed? do you have any places that i should go but i have miss out?  blush.gif
*
> where u stay in hakone?
if u stay in Gora area... (except gora station)
there basically no restaurant near ur accommodation and the last tram is 7pm
better take the hotel dinner packages

> from shinjuku to hakone, u must take the earliest train!!!

> if u include gotemba in ur itinerary, u need 2.5days
day1:
shinjuku->hakone need halfday
hakone loop halfday
ryokan 1nite
day2:
hakone->gotemba ~1.5hours
gotemba shopping ~2hours
gotemba->kawaguchiko ~1.5hours
--> u need alot time, coz there is a large gap in between the bus schedule
fuji q ~3hours
nite kawaguchiko -> shinjuku
=== not enuf time... very very rush

> Mt Fuji Subaru 5th station
never been there... alot of ppl said waste time coz alot of tourist

----
and your tokyo itinerary SUCK doh.gif
u r travelling north south east west... so messy
pls learn to use Google Maps whistling.gif

*
Pls provide ur hotel location, durations of stay and day of the week

Day of the week is very important, coz some activities can only do on weekend
Eg Tokyo Tower and Yoyogi Park

Odaiba gundam got special movement on certain time

And ur first day, u might miss ur last train to shinjuku
RC said 50% for first timer, will not make it
