I heard that Bak Kut Teh was created by a man under a bridge or flyover in Klang and it was specifically sold to drug addicts so that they could gain back their sense of taste.This is because some of them could no longer taste so he sold BKT help them rehabilitate their sense of taste by the strong unique flavor of the dish.
