Hi guys, i am stucked between getting a s360db or r1855db + edifier t5... Which 1 do u guys recommend? I feel r1855db sounds better than the bookshelf speaker in s360db
*
Based on the specs I would get S360DB.
For tweeter, S360DB is using planar which will have more "crispy" sound for 2khz and above, such as cymbals and guitar strings.
For bass, both same 4 inch driver but S360DB driver is 30W while R1855DB is 19W. More wattage can go more louder.
For subwoofer, both 8 inch, S360DB is 75W while T5 is 70W.

Looking for speaker and something for my new TV console

For speaker, it will be used for desktop computer and in a smallish room. I don't listen on loud so something that sounds nice at low-mid volume would be great.

For TV console, it will be placed at relatively open spaced living room. Intend to use to play music, movies, and game. So an all rounder would be great here.

Budget for both: RM2-3k

Hi, I am using Sonic Gear Morro 521 (2.1) speakers for PC.
It is 10 years old and now the sound one side sometimes no sound but if move the wire the sound comes back...
Any recommendations for a replacement for something as good or better below rm200?

Thanks for your suggestion.
Looks good....but got any option with bass level knob?
Also, my current morro 521 has a total output of 30 RMS and this Creative model has a total of 8RMS output.
Will it mean that the speakers will not perform well if it is very loud?

Logitech Z333 is 40W, and has bass knob. Just note that the tweeters are fake (decorative only).

Bear in mind wattage doesnt directly translate to sound quality, and unless you really want to crank up the music to fill the whole house, I dont see a reason to go for higher wattage speakers especially if you're using for near field listening on desktop.

For the budget there's really not much choice for quality 2.1 setups.

Cheap speakers have high power ratings because they have made the magnets tiny and weak to save money. This makes then inefficient and need far more current to move the cone

Interesting insider view on why current speakers sensitivity are rated as such.

Don't worry about power ratings, I've driven my speakers from 200W, 75W, 15W amps and they go plenty loud before I even max out the volume.
The sound is what's important.

Worth if you include stands. Without stand kinda hard to place.

But most of the time surround sound only if you play game or watch movie only got use.
