QUOTE(BoomChaCha @ Jun 20 2015, 01:58 AM) Captain, on BR's FD cert, as it is stated clearly like this: Adalah dengan ini disahkan bahawa Bank Rakyat memberi akuan dan jaminan akan membayar berjumlah RM ___________________ pada tarikh matang yang tersebut diatas kepada : Encik Boom [attachmentid=4493371] So, Islamic and carpet man are not the issue in this case.. [attachmentid=4493372] QUOTE(bbgoat @ Jun 20 2015, 09:09 AM) Uncle Boom, getting the 5 yrs rate from BR not that simple, eh ? No scared meh ! Luckily the longest I have with them is 2 years and now going to <1 year. So far my experience is still positive with them. But admire our High Magician with FREE RENTAS from BR !! Its interest rate is fixed. However dealing with banks with govt employees is a bit difficult to handle. There is a lot of tidak apa to handle. Uncle Boom blood pressure will shoot up higher then the interest rate. |

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Jun 20 2015, 12:17 PM) I did think along similar lines of what you said. The same issue could involve quite a few funds as well. FD deposits are very safe. Does not matter which bank. BR hamper i used to throw away every year as dont think its healthy for consumption. My total withdrawal from BR is just to get a breath of fresh air and look at lenglui from other banks. QUOTE(bbgoat @ Jun 20 2015, 01:02 PM) Scared to certain extent. Just like scare when inside airplane. Dont worry aeroplane will always land. Gravity will make sure of that . FD deposit safe until 250k with PIDM. But gamble with non PIDM banks like BR. Now you are saying: "just to get a breath of fresh air and look at lenglui from other banks" Previously BR deposit rate were the highest around and now with other banks coming in with almost parity rates , thee is no more reason to maintain it with BR. QUOTE(BoomChaCha @ Jun 25 2015, 08:21 PM) Captain, Ah Goat Sir & Big Magician.... A Good News... like this must monitor blood pressure also BR paid my FD dividend calculated from the first day of May until 24th of June, total 55 days interest. I calculated the earned interest rate based on 55 days in my iRakyat account.. BR did not lower my FD rate. BR keeps their promise to give me back the original FD rate... Must count correctly ma....Cannot miss one single cent.... [attachmentid=4501531] Somehow u reminded me of "Uncle Scrooge" counting pennies late into the night. |

QUOTE(BoomChaCha @ Jul 8 2015, 12:25 PM) I think Am Bank copycat this idea from OCBC's smartsavers... I hope the RM will talk to me like that otherwise boring nothing to do nowadays.Good for Am Bank that OCBC did not register this copy right.... I think some other banks will follow this idea soon.. Magic, if you talk to the senior female RM in Am Bank's Sri Petaling branch like that.. for sure she will ask you to keep your money at home.. No joke.. because she talked to me like this twice last year.. Good luck.. QUOTE(bbgoat @ Jul 8 2015, 12:33 PM) Almighty Magician, high time for action. Has been quiet for a long while, other than "you no scxxx meh" comment ! How come a few of your deposit comes into Not Scxxed territory? No new promo so most likely will deposit at OCBC ( no need scxxed bank). |

QUOTE(BoomChaCha @ Aug 7 2015, 02:03 PM) Magic, I just placed FD with UOB 2 days ago, but UOB did not ask me to open CASA wor... Dont know lah, sometimes counter staff say all sort of things just to convince their action. Like how almost all banks RM used to say rate will go down since a few years ago.By the way.. US$ was 3.93 at 11.50am, now 3.908..very volatile..oh now 3.914.. |

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Aug 8 2015, 09:08 AM) Wow, looking for Australian properties ! Chinese culture has 3 pillars Ask our Captain ! Add: I have asked him before, he kind of saying a good trip for him to Penang. You and me can share that ? Not spending up children's inheritance ? I kind of have the same view as our Captain but still have to leave some inheritance to them. 1. Work 2. Save 3. Migrate to Australia |
