Anyone with Samsung premium inverter 2hp? Mind sharing your experience. TQ

Does it have wifi to control on/off and fan speed from outside your house?

It has a smart Wi-Fi function to control your air conditioner via Smartphone.

If you want to control from outside of the house.

1. You have data connection
2. You must have Samsung account that registered as your air conditioner model

Without these two. It won't work.

There is one complaint that Samsung Air Conditioner is very noisy.

Not suitable for sleep.

Your model is premium inverter (ARxxHVSDB)? Just wanna confirm because I called up samsung careline and they told me something entirely different.

I'm not using that model.

I do research and found the details.

I see. They gave me 2 models which they said already obsolete. Samsung Malaysia Web didn't have me much info. I saw Samsung Australia still list the smart inverter which support wifi function but none on Malaysia website.

Just came back from Samsung. It seem like H series is old stock which they are trying hard to clear now.

According to the sales person, newer model are the ARxxJ instead of ARxxH. Samsung catalogue even had ARxxK series for premium inverter. I think I will wait a few more weeks and see.

Gooding kah? Looking for 1 to replace my old 2.0hp acson too..

Don't know. Not even sure what's going on with Samsung. Was told that H series is obsolete, now going with J (deluxe) and K (premium).

However they only had stock for H and J (for 2hp). Seem like the K series get a newer inverter, twin bldc vs bldc for J and K. Twin would be same like LG Inverter V.

no, this one not the inverter sky series. just the new skh model normal 1.0hp inverter

want to compare this with the samsung new inverter series where The Star article stated to sell from RM1399. Dont know The Star got it wrong or not? because if RRP RM1399 which I assume will be the 1 HP, it will be cheaper outside.

Samsung also got 2 types...

Deluxe model inverter plus some filter. Premium model which Im also looking at cost more and it has virus doctor (Im guessing plasma like Sharp). Im looking at Samsung because it has wifi and you can turn them on while on the way back.

I just spoke to my air-cond man who service office air-conds.

He advised me get panansonic-compressor and blower quieter, stable air flow.

Daikin-strong cooling, good for office but noisier.

Samsung-spare part difficult to get.

The panasonic skywing need both top and bottom clearance of minimum 6". Blower very easy access to clean. Compressor bit more difficult to access than normal. I reject due to price. I kiam siap. biggrin.gif

How much did he quote you for sky inverter?

Anybody got experience buying aircon from gemfive?
*
I was wondering too. Bought few things there but never bought air cond online. I just bought a Samsung Premium Inverter 1HP from Lazada though. Let's see how it turn up. Planning to use ac more nowadays and scare my old Hitachi will cost quite a bit to run since it's non inverter.

Btw, is it a stupid idea to move the old Hitachi 1HP if my living hall is huge? I just want to cool the small area (sofa) during really hot days. I feel like wasting money to install 2HP new aircond just because I wanna use it few times in a year. I'm considering because this 1hp had 10800 btu and really close to the btu of a 1.5hp

We just bought and installed the pana sky series vs13 skh from best denki.  So far quite good but disappointing a bit. Fan when maximum is louder than daikin ftk which we also have.  I cannot see any difference from the dust sensor and  nano g. For now I am just waiting to see daikin or pana sky use more electricity.  If using the econavi, it cannot make all the room cool at all.
*
1.5HP right? How much did you paid for it? Is it good?

Yeah, all those settings on panasonic aircond quite confusing. The other day was at my parents house and feel their panasonic a/c so so only. Then my bro turn off something then only it start to feel like a proper a/c. Make me feel like whats the use of inverter if need to turn down so much.

You are bull shitting again. At full blast inverter EER is higher/better than non-inverter. Just that the saving is not as obvious/attractive as part load.
*
Is there a problem with his sentence? Are you targeting him for no reason?

Inverter does have higher BTU at full load like he mentioned. Anything wrong with that?

Did you service your air cond?

I also have an old hitachi 1HP non inverter. Already have it for 8 years. Im still very satisfied with it. Very cool wor.

Hitachi used to the one to look for when looking for 1HP non inverter. Their compressor BTU is slightly higher than usual. 10800BTU compared to some popular brands which only had 8500-9000BTU. Is yours 9000BTU or 10800BTU?

Just done installing my Samsung air conditioner today. Looks like I made a small mistakes, Samsung ac being sold here don't have wifi function.

I think it's pretty good, but I think most inverter are nowadays. I'm just a bit confused with the setting. It seem like if I just leave it without setting any other mode, it cools better. I'm a bit surprised that it would let temperature rise to 28C when I set it at 26C.

If I used 2 step cooling, it does seem to turn off the ac when reach my desired temp and run on dry mode for a while. Doesn't it beat the purpose of inverter? If I used other modes like fast, quiet, comfort or delight cool, I can only set the temperature and nothing else. It cools too fast or too slowly.

I think the only difference I feel compared to my old hitachi is that the non inverter hitachi cools rapidly and then stop, but freaking cold. This one cools more gently, no need blanket also ok.

What!?

I dont know if you had one. I just had one installed (1HP premium inverter AR09KVSDB) and it was silent. Compared with my old non inverter Hitachi, it was night and day difference.

I would say it is good. As a matter of fact, most air cond would be good initially and only after extended usage then only realize which one cost less to maintain over time or which is the more reliable brand.

I just installed the Premium Inverter model. Im happy with it although was disappointed that Samsung advertised Smart Wifi feature whereas it had no WiFi at all.

Actually I think that you guys should stop attacking each other on the calculation and work towards the better of the community.

I think that most manufacturers figures are tests done in controlled environment with preset temperature which may be different from what you are using, and most probably something that you find hard to achieve in real world situation. There are so many things that become variables when it comes to real world application.

Basically an inverter saves energy in the long run compared to non inverter when you run them as per manufacturer's recommendation. How much saving probably is the biggest variable since they are a number of aspects that may influence the actual savings achieved.

The Samsung air cond that I installed last week had temperature and usage meter. At first, I kept monitoring it to see if it really save a lot of energy. Honestly it really didnt change much between 26C to 27C and 28C. There are differences, no doubt, but not really that much to cause you concern. Therefore, just enjoy the air cond and worry less about the energy consumption.

I would say it is still too early to conclude anything.
If the usage are at prolong period, then you will know.
Already used Samseng appliance when I was in Qatar for the first time, it is really noisy since the air cond are turn on for 16 hours a day.

Hahaha... that one have to wait and see.

For now just enjoy it. Yesterday tried Dry mode and it works brilliantly. Never knew how it works till now.

You switched from non-inverter to inverter? Any difference on your TNB bill?
*
I supposed not? LOL...

My normal bill was around RM2x only. Hahahaha... I changed mine because I was planning to use more from now on, and the non inverter was getting too cold and noisy with the frequent on-off.
