My company has no problem of CIMB as it is a preferred bank also.

What I meant is the procedures? Shouldn't we notify our company HR about the change right? How CIMB is going to track this?
*
Of course you have to notify your HR if there is any change of bank account. sweat.gif
Our company uses an internal tool, any change of bank account just update and payroll team will get it.

I think they track by your SMS. hmm.gif

*
For supplementary cards, I usually pay separately to avoid any issue.

*

Guys, i cancelled my cc 2 months ago. But it still appear in my Cimb click. Called in last month to confirm, the CS confirmed that it has been cancelled and reassure me to wait for one more month, today called in again, because the bank give me RM 1.21 cash rebate so my cc has -RM1.21, hence they can't fully cancel it. First time I encounter this!

If you don't mind, ask them to write off the amount and close it.

Yeah. Did it because of Agoda laugh.gif

Travel a lot nowadays, so it's good to book and claim company later  tongue.gif

And Sam Groceria's promo is really a gift from heaven biggrin.gif

Now I can reload my TnG there nicely. And get 10 bucks worth of voucher back!
*
Good for you all. My company doesn't allow us to book our own flights and hotels. All must be booked through our travel agent seated in office and charged to company's account straight away...

Yeah and with 2% for groceries and if you have the card, can collect points. biggrin.gif

I applied my Maybank Ikhwan at the booth in MATTA Fair last weekend and one of the questions asked by the agent was if I'm holding any CIMB cards, I said yes and he asked me for the credit limit I got. I told him 23k if I can remember correctly. Then, he said, the amount of my Ikhwan will be around the same.

I really don't see any relation with my Maybank, does anyone have any clues? sweat.gif doh.gif

I can't even convince myself that my Ikhwan will be approved, what's more such a high limit for Ikhwan? I can dream on.

that's the basic question that an agent would ask and also the standard answer that an agent would give. nothing to do with your relation with the bank. the reason they ask is to know how much other bank would give you based on your current income, and they know roughly how much their bank would approve. so if you said your current bank gives higher than their bank's standard, they would say their bank would give roughly the same. if you said lower, they would say their bank could offer higher at xxx amount to impress you. lol...
*
Got it. My first time being asked with this. I thought CIMB has any relation or what. blush.gif

I don't know. Read the T&C
Have you registered then? Successfully?
*
Nope, I didn't register anything yet. I guess CIMB won't easily give free money just like that, must have some agendas behind it. hmm.gif

Again if I have the time will drop by KL Sentral branch tomorrow...

At least the agent applied for me had the courtesy to ask me first before applying another card for me. I will definitely shoot him if he did this. sleep.gif

if i didnt activate it, just leave it in the drawer, that card is as good as it is cancelled rite?
*
I don't know but I won't suggest you to do that.

I suggest you to file a complaint to BNM for CIMB sending you another card without your knowledge and agreement. At the same time, please call CIMB to get the cancel this card and voice out your dissatisfaction.

david83, lee1234, noien, chiahau, ronnie and whoever is interested in the payroll account thingy.

Since I'm quite free today in the office so I made a call to CIMB to enquire further. These are my queries:

i) I asked about the eligibility to participate in this program. There are two versions of answers from their product team. One person says, everyone is eligible while the other person says only those received SMS blast will be eligible. She has taken down my details and will call me back again next week to confirm on the eligibility. My argument to her is that there is nothing mentioned in the clause that states this is only for invited customers.

ii) Assuming if everything is clear for part (i), you will need to register via SMS. I asked if there is any SMS confirmation after that, she said she wasn't told if there is any SMS confirmation. It will be good if you could call them after you send the SMS.

iii) How do you confirm that the amount transferred into CIMB account is my salary? Apparently, they will check with your HR if your salary account is CIMB account. You must have 6 consecutive salary records and you cash back will be paid in two months after that, which is the 8th month.

iv) I'm now in second tier and what if I receive a bonus in one of the first 6 months and it is more than 10k now? How do you determine the amount of my cash back? She said the payments transferred into your account for 6 months will be averaged and see it falls into which tier.

That's all I have asked and will come back on first question once she calls me back.

Thanks @fruitie . Anyone here received the sms? I will try to change my payroll from saving account to current account... no harm to give it a try.
Year end can get bonus to hit the salary higher but 10k is still too high celing to me... *cry
*
I think noien received the SMS.

QUOTE(victorywp @ Sep 11 2015, 05:00 PM)
so a person with rm7k salary and coincidentally received his 3 months bonus during this 6 months period will have his average salary rm10.5k so he will received the rm588 tier. wow.
*
Well, this is what she says. My bonus will be out in April, so I won't participate now, will participate in Dec, most probably. laugh.gif

QUOTE(wan7075 @ Sep 11 2015, 05:05 PM)
i just went to cimb and opened a saving account to participate in this payroll campaign.

*
Did you ask anyone in the branch about this campaign?

Maybe I should follow your steps for now.

Should be able to hit the 588 tier if lucky  blush.gif

I can only hit tier 3 in April but the rest of the months only tier 2...
So if averaged also will still be in tier 2 I think. hmm.gif
