just checked my groupon.MY (desktop browser) transactions on 9/9 using CIMB CR.


one thing i noticed is during payment checkout, the screen is different (seems to be random)

2 transactions (description: GROUPON - EC)without cross border fees: when i enter cc details, i saw the amex icon there.
2 transactions (description: GROUPON) with cross border fees: i saw different screen, only accept visa/mastercard.


i thought any type of payment screen would resulted NO cross border fees, but nope.

seems to be depends on which payment processor they're using also, regardless of using desktop or mobile app.

confirmed Agoda got cross-broder fee, 0.8% added to the booking amount, shown on the estatement. still acceptable since cimb cr gives 4.2% nett cashback.

you can try using POSonline. got service charge of 2% if using credit card.

note: I've been trying to use CIMB CR to pay IWK in POSonline. Keep getting error and failed. escalated to their support team to check. no answer yet.
