shakehead.gif Summary of all the issues after 1 month of usage: doh.gif
- Whenever 3G/H+ received, phone network strength will show full bar. But 4G received, signal bar immediately drop to 1-2 bar.
- Data usually works outdoor (slow speed), but dead whenever goes indoor.
- Averagely 1-3 call drop every 5mins call.
- During calls, very often voice turn into some robotic/transformer like sound. Happened to different Celcom line (different devices).
- Delayed SMS received.
- Sometimes when you tried to end a call, it will keep auto-redial for no reason & refuse to end call. Happened to all my Celcom line (different devices "Samsung & Asus").
- Call connection is slow. Averagely took 7-9 secs to connect. There are once encounter 30sec.
- After hanging up a call with opposite party (Celcom First Basic 38 user) & redial to the same number immediately - min. 2x voice mail.
- When I first signed up for 2x Celcom main line with Celcom Garden outlet:- 1 of the line didn't get submitted to HQ for processing. Need to revisit Celcom Garden outlet to re-register. 2nd line took 3 days to get converted.
- 17 June 2015, Celcom cust. service called to follow up on my previous esclation about poor network/reception. The lady said her technical team reverted to them & say NO PROBLEM. But I say problem still there. She responded "Oh...still got problem? I will submit the report again to technical team. Tried explaining to her that no matter how many times she call, the problem still exist. Unless they do something about it. It is pointless calling me several times just wanted to do her job & close the case. Conclusion, no solution given, just kept quiet over the phone & keep repeating "Yes. I'll try".

17 June 2015 (night)
Had enough of Celcom for the past 1 month. Switched back to Digi. Problem solved. Case closed.
-----------------------------------------------------------
PREVIOUS
Been using Digi for the past 10+ years & decided to port to Celcom First Basic 38 (along with my sub + other lines, total of 4x lines converted).

And shock to realize that Celcom reception is terribly horribly BAD. Almost 80% of my daily reception is on 1-2 bars. And with such weak signal, data network is almost like handicap <cacat>. So regret that I made the wrong decision to port all my lines out to Celcom.

Drop calls, Zero reception, Dead/Snail data - are all I'm facing currently. Escalated to Celcom 3x times (3x case numbers), but said Tech Support going to contact me (not surprising that no one ever contact me after that). And what is the point of calling me for, it is not my line issue now, is the entire Celcom signal strength we're talking about.

Some may say it's the location I'm in. Well, I got 4x lines all together (use by 4 different people; in different locations; travelling around Klang Valley & PJ). All encounter the same problem & having the same complaint.

Tried resetting network, signal booster app, tried on different devices, speed test like crazy - all the same problem.
I am really hoping this to be temporary (but 2 weeks already), as the First Basic 38 is really a competitive plan that I wish to stay on for all my 4 lines to also reduce my monthly bills. However if things remain, then no choice but to pay a little more, than to hold a phone with ZERO reception. Impossible to have a phone that can't even dial out emergency.

Sharing with you the missed-calls record (with my cell/data network on).

Maybe it depends heavily on your current location?
In which area were you when these happened?

Just happen that your area might be poor signal. My brother said hios friend is cursing DiGi like hell. He switch to DiGi because of cheap hardware offer smile.gif

YOu should check the coverage in your area before switching perhaps

I had been using celcom postpaid for the past 7 years. and i travel a lot between peninsular states for work purposes.

Overall i think Celcom still provide the best reception & coverage even though the bill is slightly more expensive compare to others.

but for the past weeks, i do encounter problem like you. So i hope they are just doing upgrade for their service or something .. cheers

Just subscribed basic 38 yesterday.

Tried watch YouTube 480p between 9pm to 10pm. Connection was fast.

But after 10pm and later, the speed drop like shit! sad.gif

This morning 6.30am, watch YouTube again, and the speed back to normal.

Guess during certain peak period the connection will be throttle.

I ported out from Digi to 38 also after using their service for 9 years.

So far no problem for me. No drop calls and getting H+ speed constantly around 9mbps download and 2 mbps upload. lol.

I'm having same problem. I'm talking about 3 separate lines with 3 different phones in my family. Now adding complaints from 2 different people in my office.
This is USJ, Subang and Shah Alam.

Their 2G coverage is excellent but 3G bad

I can vouch this too...ported over from DiGi after using it for more than 10 years since Sunday. Celcom network is horrendous and much much worse than DiGi. I work in KL city and stay in Subang. Just within these 2 areas, I'm getting sucky connection and dropped calls. I think I'm moving over to Maxis. Thank god for wifi!

But the current Maxis plans are not competitive enough. It is just either SurfMore 50 or OnePlan. blink.gif

Yes correct. I think Maxis focused on "different" customers. Btw, I plan to get the iPhone + plan though so it's a totally different plan. My M8 has gone wonky recently....sigh. Maxis has trade-in offer so may use that as well.
