QUOTE(HaloJ @ Jun 15 2015, 09:38 AM) I also waiting for the new facelift out. Almost 2 years in market. Should release a new facelift. Hi,Planning to buy 1 on beginning of next year. Same! Hopefully the promotion will be much better beginning next year. Anyway I am still considering between cerato and honda city V spec. Very concern with cerato maintenance cost and spareparts cost in the long term (at least 9 years) although there are 5 years warranty. Fuel cost too.. hmmm... QUOTE(Buydirect @ Jun 15 2015, 04:51 PM) No major face-lift with stark contrast for Cerato K3 at present. If any changes, probably they are just subtle changes on the trims, which are less noticable. In this modern age, for any impending face-lift of models to be brought in to Malaysia, you would get to see it on the internet first. Thanks for the clarification. =)The thing is many people tend to compare Cerato K3 with Forte. Cerato K3 was brought in to Malaysia relatively early in reference to its domestic Korean launch, hence it seemed as though a facelift is very much overdue. Forte on the other hand was introduced quite late in Malaysia, hence it got facelifted from 4 Speed to 6 speed within a short span of time. In fact, Forte got replaced completely by Cerato K3 in Malaysia in just within 3.5 years, which is super fast for any all-new model introduction. |

Reporting a 6months old Kx. Car starts to have minor rattling sound, guess i spoke too soon that i have no rattling issue. But at the moment the sound is very minor and mostly from start of fresh when shift to D gear and the timing between brake release till acc pedal where your car starts to move a little. Once car moving in 5km or so the rattling stops.
So it's a small window of 3-4 secs minor sound. Could not tell which part exactly as it's somewhere around inside the HU. Very hard to determine unless dismantle the HU to check. Actually is some what still acceptable is i care less, but i can say due to Cerato can be quite quiet on stops and idle, so many of us will find the sound happen NOT pleasing to a quiet car. If you have the rattling sound, one more possibility is the CD/DVD in the HU, i experience louder rattling in idle to moving from 0-5km, then i realise my CD in the HU. Ejecting it reduces the rattle sound a lot. |

Kia Chief Designer - Peter Schreyer is due to retire in 2 years time.
Hyundai Motor will hire Volkswagen Group veteran Luc Donckerwolke to succeed Peter Schreyer as head of design for the Hyundai and Kia brands, a report said. Hyundai declined to comment on the report but Automotive News Europe sources confirmed that the Belgian designer quit as styling chief at VW Group's Bentley brand earlier this month to take up the "offer of a lifetime" at Hyundai. Like Schreyer, Donckerwolke, 49, worked as a designer for Audi during his 23-year career with VW and was also head of design at the group's Lamborghini and Seat brands. During his time at Volkswagen, Donckerwolke was responsible for the designs of the Audi R8 Le Mans, as well as the Lamborghini Murcielago and Lamborghini Gallardo. Donckerwolke will move to Korea and after a transition period will take over the top design job when Schreyer, who turns 63 next month, retires in two years, the report said. Schreyer, known as the creative brain behind the Audi TT, was promoted in 2013 to oversee both Kia and Hyundai's designs. He was tasked with giving the Hyundai brand a fresh, familywide look, as he did at Kia after being hired as the brand's top designer from VW Group in 2006 Schreyer said at the time that he would give the sibling brands more distinct identities in what he called a "dramatic evolution." A Hyundai spokesman told Automotive News Europe: "We do not comment on speculation concerning potential appointments." Attached thumbnail(s) |

It's totally normal, going over 100km does have wind noise or so, unless our car is highly sound accoustic, tyre roar is also normal as reported due to 17" inch type and rough surface on malaysia roads. But i do think our engine is quiet, u should hear out peugeot 208 sound. loud out of the factory.the problem i have now is wind noise is noticeable when the speed is over 100km/h, is it normal? and the tyre/road noise is loud especially on the road with rough surface |

Ya, agree that the engine is quiet.Wind noise still bearable, but the tyre/road noise is really annoying, maybe I shoudn't compare it to my previous car, fiesta and 308. Overall I like this car.
