haha I'm currently looking for c segment car. Unsure whether to take cerato or ioniq. Cerato is cheaper & free services for 3 years. Ioniq is fuel save. confused.gif

Ionic - direction of the future?

Cerato - almost end of life for current model

Does not sound like something standard from KIA. Is it a package for you by your SA?

Hi, Cerato 1.6 will it under-power and will the fuel consumption bad as the engine is only 1.6?

Strongly suggest you do a test drive to find out about the engine power and torque as each driver has different expectation. Fuel consumption is reasonable and within expectation as I have not heard of any user who complaint bitterly on heavy FC for Cerato 1.6. Kia Malaysia does not announce any official FC, but you can google some independent websites for the users' feedback.

Hey guys, hoping someone can help. I’ve got a friend who has a Cerato K3. His front left ball joint is in need of a replacement and he’s trying to find someone who has the part and can do it.

So far he’s gone to the Kia SC, and they quoted him RM400+ for the part and workmanship. Can anyone point me in the way of a shop that has and does this for the K3?

Would very much much appreciate your help. Thank you guys!

try korean car mate?

you have 2 option:
1. change the whole arm (SC usually do this).
2. pump the ball joint and change it (still costly because pump labour but will be cheaper a bit).

btw, although the ball joint not in good condition, if no sound when over bump, your car still can drive.

My steering has the noise problem as in the video below. Found out from internet the culprit is steering coupler/coupling. And it need to be replace. Anybody can recommend a workshop (preferably in Puchong) to change it and also what are the charges? Kia Puchong quoted RM38 for the thing and RM200 for labour sweat.gif

Common problem for all K3 model.
Suggest to put on Shark Fin antenna on roof.
Connecting AM antenna don't really help.
