Can connect to WiFi and browse the Internet using the pre-installed browser app..But beyond that.. For easy access, it's limited.
I tried mine last nite, everything still works. Can connect to playstore can do live tv streaming, youtube also no problem. I also tried downloading from 3rd party market apps (shafa and aptoide) also okay.
Not sure if they will block in the future.

Good for you.. Now it's up to you to disable the update feature or not. Like Keatsan mentioned.

I see, okay. I think I have already disable the update. Just keep the box at the current state should be okay, at least everything still working smile.gif

I installed chrome in this box and it's working but I can tell you dont expect much from it. It's kinda laggy, i guess it's better not to install.

if you delete the update server it wont update... my box dont update as well. i didn't delete the server but it havent update at all... maybe because i did not connect the box directly to port but using wifi? dont have a clue.
*
Yeah, same as mine. I still have the update server URL in the upgrade section (with the upgrade now button unchecked) but I haven't receive any sort of firmware up date notification and I do connect my box via wifi.

If not using HyppTV should be OK I supposed? Then, it will not be connected their server and won't trigger them. hmm.gif

Hmmm..not sure but I do watch HyppTV with this box, so far still okay wor. So far no auto-firmware update request even I didnt delete the update URL prior to this.

while upgrading is in progress - I unplugged the LAN cable and removed the server address - and I'm saved
Haha

This means by removing the URL of the update server prevents the auto-update?
Just to double confirm, as they it's mentioned by removing the URL helps.

Installed version is 2.8.0-1015. Launched it just to see if it would work. App successfully launched but was asking for login details. One would think that it would automatically detect it's installed on the TM issued STB + Unifi and autoconnect accordingly.. But nope. So have login details ready.
*
I installed version 2.16.1-2597 of Iflix in this box, just the same managed to launched but will not auto detect the free Iflix bundled with Unifi (till 31st Dec 2017).
This is a big difference as if I login with my own Iflix ID, I only get the validity period as per subscribed only.

Hmm... Are you using the default DNS servers from TM or custom? I'm using a custom one and can't help but think it might be related to why iFlix can't auto-detect the TM connection. Cuz I've even tried using a PC to visit their website and it still asks for login details. Can't switch DNS servers just yet.. Later..

Alternatively, it could all be from iFlix's end.. smile.gif
*
I am using the default DNS servers from TM. I didnt change anything, just log on to their webpage and Iflix auto detect that I am on Unifi and did not request any log in details.

I also tried while not connected to Unifi, if not connected to Unifi. Iflix webpage and app will request for login details.

I'm confused.. In your previous post, you mentioned that the iFlix app doesn't auto-detect and asks for login info. But now it does?
hmm.gif  Some had their file explorer removed.. Luckily yours was kept.

So sorry for the confusion.

Yeah, the app doesnt. But via webpage it does connect automatically.
