Maybe 5.1 to 6.0 take longer time to install and boot up? Everything ok now?

Nope, it went into bootloop. I tried force update a couple times, it just stuck at huawei logo during bootup. Something is not right with the firmware downloaded. I download again, same thing happen. I downloaded back the previous version and do force update, it is now working fine.

Hi, did you get the 64Gb version of the M2 10 ?

Could you share your note taking experience with it, preferably with Microsoft's OneNote.

Thanks!

I tried Ms OneNote with M2 10, it work fine. The pen work with one note perfectly. rclxms.gif

Yes, I reverted back to B029. I suspect the file is not complete. Although the update completed successfully on the phone, it will go into bootloop. And when installing the update, it is too fast. Even when I reverted back to B019, the amount of time for installation is almost twice.

I left my phone on bootloop whole night yesterday, lucky lcd still OK. When on bootloop, I cannot turn off the phone. It will always restart itself and stuck at huawei logo. rclxub.gif I only managed to download the B029 this morning.

have you unzip the update file?
There will be 4 folders and UPDATE.APP after unzip.

I am also confuse the step mentioned in the forum. Should zip or not zip to SD Card/dload folder. You can try again.

Try OTA method if above not work.

1.
a. Launch HiCare app>Member>Check for updates.
or
b. Go to HiApp>search "Huawei", check if "华为手机服务“ ( it's actually HiCare also ) is up to date.

2. Launch HiCare> Service, see if got the "升级申请" ( pic3)
3. Apply.

Yes, I have unzip. Done both, put on dload folder and put on root of the SD card. The correct method is put on on dload folder.

By the way, i notice the update.app file is very small. As my know dealing with Huawei phone all this while, this is the major update file. The file that I downloaded is less than half of the size of B029. And I compare with my old Xi and Mate 7, all the update.apps are usually large file. I wonder if this is the one that cause the bootloop.

Guys, want to ask....I recall when I had my X1, there was a Huawei app that allowed me to mirror ANOTHER PHONE screen to the X1.

I was able to mirror my daughter's Mi3 onto the X1 and control the Mi3.

Is there a similar app in the P8 or your other large-screened Huaweis ?

I'm thinking to trying it out on the Mi Max if available. I recall that there was some apk that was needed.

There is Multi-screen option under shortcuts. Not sure if it can mirror to any other phone, haven't tried before

No. Multi-screen is Huawei's name for Miracast.

What I'm referring to is a stock app somewhere in the phone which does this.

It's not mirroring the Huawei to another phone. It is mirroring another phone to the Huawei.

how big is the UPDATE.APP from the zip file? Here show 61.1MB.
Not sure it's corrupted or not...

info from guide:
other thing need to take note is make sure SD card got at least 4GB space, format is FAT/NTFS.

the normal update.app file for update is above 1GB. For B029, the update.app file is over 2.7GB. Did you manage to update your phone using the zip file that you have uploaded?

I am using 32GB sd card formatted in FAT. I have done update for many huawei phone using the same sd card, should not be a issue.

Not sure what wrong. After unzip is 1.7GB. I update thru OTA when they starting at forum.
I am not sure if our phone if different. I bought my phone from aliexpress, not by local seller. But this shouldn't be any issue since they also import from China.

Have you try install HiSuite thru computer and do update? ( the icon got arrow up is the system update)
