I just want to know anyone from celcom user, face the problem to receive Maybank TAC Request no. or any SMS through internet ??

I used this celcom prepaid line 014 ( sarawak line) for few months. Only this month (October), I can't received those SMS through internet ( normal h/p to h/p SMS still no problem)

I had registered 3 times at ATM machine , but still can't receive SMS from internet request. I also asked the Maybank stuff about this problem. They told me that the problem was from celcom. Last night, I had made a report at Celcom office.

Is anyone of you have come to this problem before ?

It happens to me sometimes, I'll request for TAC and never receive it. If I don't get it in a few hours I'll just request again. Most of the time it takes anywhere from 1 minute to 1 hour to receive the TAC. But I'm using 013 and KL line.

ern ya sometime maybank TAC need to double request if you did not received any TAC after 10min you request! I think that's nothing wrong with you line~*

this is the most guaranteed way to get a safe code.
but, still you must do the payment with internet to key in the TAC.

for my case, I just can't receive my TAC through internet request. So, I will go to ATM machine to get the TAC and go in Maybank stuff room. use the public computer to proceed with my fund payment transfer. this is really take me lots of time....

but, before this is just fine ... until that moment, Maybank website is jammed and operated as slow as snail ( remember that time ? end of september -- if I am not mistake).

Yes, this is very time wasting as the TAC is only valid for 2 hours. After that, you can't do the transaction. So, you must make sure you get the TAC from ATM and do the transaction within 2 hours time.

Does Maybank2u officially support TAC delivery via SMS to all numbers using 014 prefix? I know CIMB is not supported at the mean time.

It's very troublesome to go to ATM if you want to initiate an immediate transaction.

I think Maybank2u TAC can last longer than 2 hours; last time used to be the whole day.

But CIMB is confirmed valid for 2 hours as it is stated in the SMS itself.

012 for TAC request is the better.....

until now, i dun have any problems with it...

when transfer fund, within 1 minutes, sometimes second i got SMS...

while TAC is within few minutes.

I had registered more that 3 times at ATM machine. It was ok at first ( before october, 2006). I can get TAC within 1 minute time.

Problem only happen at this month. No matter how many times I registered at ATM ( more than 3 times), yet I can't receive TAC through internet request. But, I can see "successful request" status at the Maybank website. I still can receive SMS ( h/p to h/p) from west/east Malaysia. But everytime i request TAC from ATM, the printed slip will show valid for 2 hours only. I never try to do any transaction after 2 hours biggrin.gif

I am not sure if this TAC only last for 2 hours.
because, before this I could use 1 TAC for whole day fund transfer.
Maybe sarawak system is different than west malaysia ? not sure...

ern.. i seem like that's you line problem and that's nothing related to Maybank services.. Try to bring your phone to the celcom service center get their consultant to figure out your problems..

Settings? If you can send and receive SMS from other person without any problem, then shouldn't be the settings problem.

My big guess will be network provider which is Celcom.

Then looks like it is really your hp setting. Do you have any friend using similar model hp as you ? Probably you can compare biggrin.gif

Don't too depend on Celcom response. They also help me to make a report and told me i will get the response in 3 days time. But now already 2 weeks without any news. You know what i mean, right ? biggrin.gif

If you suspect that it's has to do with your phone configuration. Experiment it by putting your SIM card with another phone.

There's nothing much to be set in SMS configuration ... the settings are very primitive and it's not as messy (or sensitive) as MMS.

TAC is sent like usual SMS. You no need to worry much about the technology behind.

Don't overload your brain with MMS. Just a different method of packaging the data.

Almost the same for both Celcom and TMNUT! I made a report to Celcom on 3G sim card and i have not receive any news yet after 2 weeks. So, do you think this is fast ? biggrin.gif I already gave up now! tongue.gif

Try with other h/p. still the same problem. can't receive TAC even after 5 times request. Don't know what to do now. only wait Celcom to solve it for me ( hopefully ).

Maybank website show status "successfully", but my 014 prepaid line never receive TAC. Like drop into deep sea ...

well ... at this moment, I will wait for celcom further reply according to this failure of receiving TAC request or any other internet SMS such as activation code etc.

but, the reason I ask for comparison between maxis/hotlink/digi/celcom is that this problem been happened to celcom line, 014 ( as least one case of mine ). If this problem is remaining unsolved by this month, then I will decide to change to other better line.

I will study more at other related thread for better understanding.

I think both Maxis and Celcom are quite similar in term of their services. There is no advantage at all if you switch to the other service provider. I'm using Maxis and my wife is using Celcom. biggrin.gif

Since I saw this thread is still active, I'm interested to share also. I've been using hotlink since 2002 and until Nov2010 I've decided to switch to Digi. While using maxis at that time, I kinda not satisfy with TAC receive since its quite delay. Some more I have to call somebody or dial check balance just to make the TAC receive fast. It did. But when it comes to an urgent matters, I kinda fed-up when I have to wait quite a long time to receive TAC number. Then on November 2010 I switch to DIgi. I can confessed that this operator is a bit faster on receiving TAC number rather than Maxis.

Then out of no where, I tried to switch to Celcom (prepaid also) just to give it a try after using Digi for about 7months. On one end of the spectrum, I can conclude that Celcom receive TAC is quite fast and I can say less than a minute. I have no problem at all receiving TAC number when I'm using Celcom. Although I saw many complaints especially on maybank facebook saying that Celcom always having problem on receiving TAC. But not in my case.

Last 2 days:

I've planned to switch back to Hotlink since I'm using smartphone and I need better package. This morning, I've started changing my simcard to Hotlink and what really2 disappoint me is this TAC problem. vmad.gif
I've got "better package" EXCEPT this silly tiny problem. I've contacted Maxis, they told me that its Maybank problem if its regarding about TAC request. Then I called Maybank explained them from A-Z. He told me that he will call Maxis since its between Maybank&Maxis. No point if I complaint directly to Maxis. After 2hours, that maybank guy called me. He said that Maxis currently having problem regarding about sms TAC. He also didn't know how long will it takes to fix it and he promised to call me once its fixed. Yesterday and last week i encountered the same problem like you. Request maybank TAC but no answer. Only tomorrow received the TAC. Don't know why suddenly so slow @_@

I solved this. u call maybank, and ask them update ur hp number on the server. I think celcom delete all the previous number log on maybank

I called last week after porting from Maxis to U mobile. Worked for 1 day last friday and now its back to nothing.

With CIMB its still not working after 1 week.

I tried for about 2 hours yesterday evening, until now no TAC received.

I can sometimes receive it and sometimes not. Wonder why. Never had such problem with other banks.

I have experienced receiving TAC with Maxis, never had a problem. Now I switch to U Mobile, so far so good.
