I'm not sure if still can receive incoming calls and sms. I cut the simcard to half after gotten another Magic sim. I used Celcom OCS to check the progress. Credit balance is not forfeited yet(u still can claim back your number, but need to go to celcom centre to topup).

QUOTE(RDoe @ Dec 27 2015, 10:22 PM) The reload amounts don't stack. When you reload RM50, you got 50 days. Then you reload the RM10? Those 10 days started counting from the date of reload, not the date of expiry of the previous reload. If you want 60 days' validity, you've to do a one-time reload of RM60 - cannot split the amount. This is the way I don't like celcom. The rules are always changing in short period. Last time it used to have reload internet bonus and per minute charging block for voice call but now they revoke the reload Internet bonus and change the voice charging block to 3 minutes with no announcement. What a way to carry out the business.

What a way to carry out the business. I think this is not with Celcom alone, but rather most of the major telcos calculate the validity for reloads in a similar method - the validity periods of 2 separate reloads don't stack. So we've to be very careful like when we want to take advantage of a certain promotion, to get a reload voucher for the whole required amount. Those reload bonus and charging system, if you're referring to the time when Magic SIM was just launched, I believe they're more of a new-launching promotion. They probably decided later that it's "not healthy on their profits"... As for the lack of announcements for removing such goodies, again I observed most telcos won't announce these "not so good news", and only update their website. To be on the safe side, I normally visit the website or discussion sites to look out for any changes.

Remember there was a period when they were promoting how low was their call rate to offnet networks (in per minute measurement)? At first it was alright but after 2-3 months, I started to realize i was deducted at least RM0.6 for each call, and most of the time the calls were less than 30 seconds. After contacting with the customer service, and only realized that they were charging in 3 minute block and the per minute measurement on the website is just to illustrate the rate was cheap.

I guess they did it so we'll think it's a permanent thing, rather than using "for limited time only" then maybe extend later on. I'm still wondering when the burung hantu's going to sleep. Other than to attract more customers, I've never thought Celcom's call rates (or even data) to be cheap. "Too good to be true."

Refreshing the basic charging method is okay in yearly basis but not once every few weeks or months.
