Many IOX users have EXP1/2 intact, with many others already switched to Magic SIM, so not easy to get a reply on this. tongue.gif

Paging NSR and others

Did Celcom just updated their call rate, validity and internet plan for Magic Sim?
Homepage still states 12 sen/min call
Source : https://www.xpax.com.my/magicsim_tnc

Meaning call to other network is more expensive now if one is to call for 2 minutes only?
First minute : 10 sen
Next 3 minute : 30 sen ??

2 minute call to other network : 10 sen + 30 sen = (40 sen / 2 min) = 20 sen per min <- is this calculation correct?

No more reload rm30 and above valid for 30 days maximum?
Which means if one is to reload rm100 can get 100 days validity by now?

Free wifi quota for internet plan. Old magic sim internet plan doesn't include wifi

Just had a chat with celcom online chat. The customer service agent said the rate is effective today.

Tried myself making 20 second call to maxis. Been charged 30sen for 20 sec call which means new call rate has started.

No more cheap rate for short calls from magic sim. This new rate is good for users who do long calls.

Magic sim users take note of the new call rate
On Net : 30 sen / 12 min
Off Net : 30 sen / 3 min

I can confirm with you that RM1.00 is to buy 1 day. Tried  it myself today. The basic internet is also extended for 1 day.

And celcom has not blocked whatsapp call

After the 1 day validity, I guess there is another 75 days inactive period before line termination? Yes/No?

Just visited magicsim website today at 3.30pm and found the calling rate have been updated to 2.5sen/minute on-net and 10sen/minute off-net.

The calling block is 12minutes on-net and 3minutes off-net. These rates are published in the new TnC.

Could this changes coincide with the mass amount of FREE Sim packs sent out this month from their monthly promotion feature for Magic SIM. RM 0.30 for a call albeit a huge block duration is ridiculously outdated.

Prepaid telcos are moving to shorter call blocks to attract customers and these changes by Celcom is a backward movement. Seems like it is to curtail the thousands/tens of thousands of free SIM packs that is going to be activated this month.

Not sure if the inactive period works with this method of validity extension, but the normal inactive period for Magic SIM is only 50 days, not 75 days.

https://www.xpax.com.my/magicsim_tnc

Upon expiry of the validity period, you will have 50 days to perform a reload, failing which your mobile number or account will be automatically terminated without any further notice.

tongue.gif Mix up with digi. TQ for the confirmation of 50 days inactive period. Logically I think after the RM1 validity period - there is an extra 50 days to keep the number.

The new rate at the T & C page was updated 2 days ago and finalized yesterday.
https://www.xpax.com.my/magicsim_tnc

Front page for call rate was not updated until this afternoon. I have tested it by calling Digi and Maxis numbers with short duration call to see the changes of RM0.30 being charged.

Kind of disappointed that celcom is not catering for users that do short calls which is less than a minute. The new rates are similar to IOX users.

By the way, IOX terms and conditions page has been removed and replaced with Magic Sim. Celcom going to migrate IOX user soon to Magic Sim? UOX and SOX T & C Page still remains

I'd think that if they want to remove IOX, why not just remove the whole line instead of just changing the link address? blink.gif

Hope they won't really remove IOX and thus EXP1/2, coz that will give me a very good reason to cancel my line and use others instead.

First hotlink with basic internet reduced to 500mb

Then celcom with increased rates, bad for short calls

Hopefully no other Telco follows them going backwards
