QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Jul 30 2015, 10:41 AM) It's possible to use whatsapp call with 64kbps as whatsapp call use about that bandwidth. I used whatsapp call last 3 months on one telco but recently found out it was blocked or purposely degraded on basic Internet packageI have not tried magic sim basic Internet whatsapp call yet since I am on their 2gig high speed data package. Can someone with basic 64kbps try whatsapp call and let us know if celcom blocks it I tried u mobile - it is not blocked (yet). Can whatsapp call with 64kbps This post has been edited by Chrono-Trigger: Jul 30 2015, 11:02 AM |

magic has no problem whatsapp call.
if u 1 2 get high speed internet without buying any mip, simply reload rm30 and get 300mb high speed data for free instantly. then u can choose to sell ur credit to others at 70% market rate, or use it to call or sms as well as buying 1gb mip. but for me i usually sell it off to my clients. in another way pls keep in mind that u need to pay rm30 for 300mb high speed data provided u must have an active mip. |

Can anyone advise how to deactivate Voicemail service for Magic SIM? Can we do it on our own from the phone?
Thanks in advance. |

QUOTE(fat16 @ Aug 27 2015, 10:09 AM) celcom and celcom mvno have to call service center. Thanks for the info. call 1111 press 2 u pay celcom 50sen press 3 celcom call u. Thought I could avoid having to call 1111 as hoping to just request online (like Maxis) or do it on the phone (like Digi). My experiences with them over the charging from 5-digit unsolicited messages via email and phone already turned me off these two avenues. Guess calling them just about voicemail is simpler ... let's see how it goes then. Might have to find a chance to visit them personally to resolve both matters altogether. |

Thanks everybody for your help, decided to call 1111 this evening. Managed to request for the voicemail deactivation for an old line as well, so next is to find a chance to visit them personally to "chat" about all those 5-digit messages. ^^

One more question on Magic SIM:
https://www.xpax.com.my/reload Towards the end of the page, there's a "To Extend Your Credit Validity" section. Keep your line active by subscribing to 1 Day validity extension at RM1 and continue to enjoy FREE Basic Internet. Type 1DAY Send 28882 Does this mean we can extend the validity by just a day without having to do a top-up? That is, during the passive (inactive) period, we can just type 1DAY and send to 28882 to activate the line by just a day? Thus the RM1 will be deducted from the credit balance? Has anyone here tried this? |

Has anyone here tried this? Btw celcom revised free internet quota to 500 MB , in line with other telcos. Free Basic Internet All Magic SIMTM from Xpax comes with free basic Internet at the speed of 64kbps (“Free Basic Internet”). You may continue to enjoy Free Basic Internet as long as your account is still active. If your account is inactive, the Free Basic Internet will be temporary disconnected until a reload is performed. The Free Basic Internet is up to a maximum of 500MB usage per month per mobile number only. This post has been edited by Chrono-Trigger: Aug 30 2015, 08:10 AM |

QUOTE(Chrono-Trigger @ Aug 30 2015, 08:07 AM) That is how I understand it Thanks for your reply. I understand about the "Free Basic Internet" part, which is quite similar to what the other telcos have. Btw celcom revised free internet quota to 500 MB , in line with other telcos. Free Basic Internet All Magic SIMTM from Xpax comes with free basic Internet at the speed of 64kbps (“Free Basic Internet”). The Free Basic Internet is up to a maximum of 500MB usage per month per mobile number only. What I'd like to clarify is the part on: Keep your line active by subscribing to 1 Day validity extension at RM1 and continue to enjoy FREE Basic Internet. Type 1DAY Send 28882 Can the validity really be extended by a day without having to do a top-up? That means, when the line is not active, we can just type 1DAY and send to 28882 to activate the line by just a day? The RM1 will be deducted from the credit balance? This is as opposed to having to find a friend to do a credit transfer/sharing, or to actually do a top-up which will normally cost at least RM5 just for that 1 day. |

i still stay at old X2 plan and don't have long validity option anymore...their 1 day validity extension look like a scam, i try few times already, the 1 day validity time will reset or end at 12am each day, so that mean if you buy 1 day validity extension for rm1 at 11pm, u have 1 hour validity only...and if buy at 11.59pm, 1 minute validity...
