What windows operating system are you using?
Have you tried updating your graphic card driver?
If you try the monitor on another PC, does this issue occurs?

What monitor model you are currently using?
How many monitors you are using connected to your pc?
What is the monitor resolution and  windows font size (100%, 125%, 150%) for each of  the monitors ?
*
1- Samsung SA550 (Which is not my choice)
2- 2 Monitors, second one is HP w19b (it is same standard monitor that my clients using. I use it to simulate client view)
3- Samsung is 1920x1080 and HP is 1440x900, both 100%.

As I mentioned before, budget is not problem.

I believe using U2515H @2048x1152 with interpolation, displays texts, etc. way better than my current "budget" monitor.

May you please share screen copies (not with cam, may be using snipping tool) of same texts and icons both with 2048x1152 and 2560x1440 and using lose-less format (tiff), so we can compare interpolation.

TIA.

You could grab this monitor Dell U2515H (25 inch = RM1.4K) or a Dell U2715H (27 inch = RM2.1K).

They look the same in screenshot (regardless jpg/png/tiff) in Mspaint/Photoshop, but they definitely look different in my eyes when viewing in the monitor itself (2048x1152 is blurry, 2560x1440 is sharp)

HI, I am new here but I've crossed your post in researching for a new monitor. I too am eyeing the U2515H for some time. The Problem I have after seeing already some youtube videos and your images I do not know anymore what to decide. For example from your image with the two monitors the one form the left with huge bezels looks better to my eyes. It's said larger bezels improve the way we perceive the black tones and it just look like that to me. Maybe is the way monitors are positioned or just whats my monitor is showing. I don't know what to make of it anymore.

I would recommend you to get the thinner bezel monitor because it will save some space with multi monitor placed close to one another. what other monitor you have on your purchase list apart from the u2515h?

First I should thank you for answering me and so fast.
Sadly, I will only use it as single monitor. I am actually fond of classic bezels the Apple Cinema 27 inch actually has a 3cm ones of caramel frame. they look gorgeous.
But for the other options: BenQ BL2420PT (http://orwww2.benq.com/product/monitor/BL2420PT/features) 30 euros more and a monitor that features all the older graphics ports the Dell has dumped: DVI, VGA, though I will not use them. I guess I will use DP for sure. It has 1W speakers though am not interested and USB 2.0 not 3.0.
There is also Acer G257HUsmidpx also 30 euros more and an horrible stand in my eyes. Also still not sold on the Acer quality.
I guess the Dell is still the better option. Where I am still not decided is on the black colours. Can you please confirm if they are decent and not washed? Thank you

Regarding speakers in monitor or in TV, they do not sound really good from what I have experienced.
It lacks the sweet mellow highs and bass that a dedicated 2.1 speaker system can offer.
I would highly recommend to get a dedicated 2.1 speaker if you are listening music / watching movies / gaming.

I noticed that Dell speaker stand is amazingly good but it only comes in certain models such as the U series (U2515H ultra series).
Those stand allows you to perform 90 degrees rotation on both left/right (older models can only do from left).
And it's also height adjustable which is a plus for me! Previously I had to stacked multiple phone books to get to a specific height for my monitor.

Another alternative is to get a flexible stand (monitor arm) which allows you to position the monitor above your table (floating).
But it requires that the monitor supports vesa mount 100mm x 100mm.

The Dell U2515H IPS black is a little washed out (can be easily viewed when watching movies or dark scenes in it), but it's a small matter to me.
Truly black colors can be seen from TN Panels but those generate lots of heat especially in smaller rooms.
Also IPS monitor colors remains vivid when viewing in any angle horizontally. It does gray out when viewing at different heights (vertically).

So if I watch a movie with my family on my IPS panel, they don't complain about unable to view the color of the screen being washed out at different angle with same height.

I just did the experiment as shown in Asus on my Dell U2515H.
Basically it does not flicker at low brightness and contrast.
My monitor is set to blueish hue so it does not really matter to me as this custom mode I'm using does not fatigue my eyes.
Basically to avoid getting eye fatigue is to reduce the contrast and also use a matte screen (not glossy monitor!)
By setting those, you can easily protect your eyes. nod.gif

I have yet to perform professional color calibration for the Dell U2515H.

Hence I could not advise you in this aspect since I have not experimented with having both the printed image from color printer matches the what-you-see-is-what-you-get from the Dell U2515H monitor.

I see. Any suggestion for monitor suitable for monitor should I look out, expecially for photoshop of RAW editing.

I got my eyes on BenQ Monitor LED DESIGNER 27' BL2710PT WQHD, but any brand is fine for me.
(Actually I love the slim bazel feature on Dell U2515H UltraSharp IPS QHD Monitor, which I'm try to setup my workstation with dual monitor).

BenQ BL2710PT bezels are pretty large and if you tried to place them close together, it will not look great
The U2713HM that I have has large bezels similarly to the BL2710PT and I find it distracting when switching screens + the monitor have to be further apart.
I would advise/recommend to get a dual 2560x1440 25" inch monitor (since the 27 inch takes up a considerable amount of space).

The other trend I'm seeing is people is going for 34 inch monitor Dell U3415W (3440x1440) and stack them vertically (so they can place the speaker beside the monitor).
