QUOTE(ZONX @ Jun 5 2019, 11:04 AM) Hi, from my personal experience, the led bulb type not very long lasting, sometimes around half year need to replace the bulb already. nowadays im slowly replacing to 1 piece led downlights, so far so good in terms of brightness and durability. i think they are better than the bulb typeIs it better to use those frame+LED bulb type compared to those LED downlight set (which has to change the whole set if kaput)? |

QUOTE(woolala @ Apr 20 2019, 09:12 AM) Hi, does anyone know any shop in PJ selling NSB downlight other than house lighting? Puchong is quite far away from my house. Thanks. NSB downlights are good. It has a separate LED driver which can be replaced on its own.I'm using NSB downlights for 4 years and it's still functioning perfectly. Reliable. Only thing is I bought the 18 watts version, wished I bought the lower watt to save electricity. I bought it in a shop in Puchong, that's the only place I know. |

QUOTE(Jedi @ Jun 16 2019, 08:53 PM) Whats the Kelvin u all put for ur rooms? From what I read you need to seperate out task lighting , ambient lighting and accent lighting.6500K for study room 4000K for bathroom, living room and kitchen and master bed room (2 tier plaster ceiling) 3000K for external plaster ceiling living room and master bedroom ok? For example study room you can put 3000k as ambient lighting and 6500k for task lighitng. I find 6500k very harsh and white for ambient lighting. Even shopping complex put 4000k. |

6500k store room, kitchen
4000k all bedroom, living room, bathroom, study room, car porch, lamp outside the house is this fine? should we put 6500k for kitchen? As for downlight, contractor suggest to choose round shape instead of square shape, his reason is square shape senget easily and it's obvious compared to round shape.. got such thing? |

Although tbh, you can use 4000k for kitchen too - just make sure it's bright enough, above 800 lumens.4000k all bedroom, living room, bathroom, study room, car porch, lamp outside the house is this fine? should we put 6500k for kitchen? Yes square shape easy to be installed wrongly, often times "senget" because now a days the bangla workers can't cut a proper square into the plaster ceiling. If it's round then obviously there's no way to be senget, logically speaking. |

QUOTE(ZONX @ Jun 19 2019, 07:21 PM) Hi, above 800 lumens for kitchen only? or for all the areas that using 4000k? For places where there is a risk of accident, of course you'd want it to be bright. A bright area subconsciously heightens the human's senses, but don't be mistaken between brightness and temperature. Kitchen, store rooms, maybe even the shower (although the shower is a lot more subjective, some people like a very "relaxing" shower) - should have brightness of above 800 lumens.Do you have any recommendation on the downlight to be used? Thx For downlights, I usually just use Phillips. I've had it with all those no-name downlights - the part that spoils in them are the drivers, not the LEDs themselves. It's gets rather annoying to change eventhough it isn't difficult. |

Yes.You can choose higher wattage (though be wary, because wattage now a days is used as a marketing tool and no longer for actual measurement) or more downlights. Location of the down lights in the ceiling is also kind of important, don't just lump them all together or spread them out too wide. |

Hi,
Anyone got recommendation for led downlight that can change colour between warm light and daylight/cool light? Thinking of replacing old school, long T8 fluorescent tube light in my room. |
