Oh I only realised just now, the surge in revenue was also due to GOVERNMENT COMPENSATION (amount not specified), only Malaysian government will sign this lopsided contract  vmad.gif
*
Yeah, if not mistaken the compensation is due to the no toll rate rise in last 2 years...

As usual, contract content is confidential, but in terms of payment, from the country revenue and tax.. shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

Hehe allowed me to quote your description of Bandar Sungai Long & BMC for every body to appreciate the ONG part of both townships:

Bandar Sungai Long might be known to you for the famous Sungai Long Golf and Country Club, the very first Jack Nicklaus-designed gold course in the whole of Malaysia. It also might suggest images in your mind of the classic black and white English country bungalows and red brick condominium and terraces.

Recently Bandar Sungai Long, especially the commerical areas, has boomed from the opening of the UTAR campus. If that is not enough for you, the neighbouring township Bandar Mahkota Cheras boasts an AEON and an even larger commercial district. Despite the commercial conveniences that inevitably follow universities (which includes a hospital), the township remains green and cooling.

SUNGAI LONG currently has access to the Cheras-Kajang Highway (Grand Saga) and the SILK highway. A new access road to the SILK highway is being built as an extension of the main Persiaran Bukit Sungai Long, expected to be finished by September 2015. Access by road to both directions: Balakong/Cheras/Serdang/KL City and Kajang/Putrajaya/Cyberjaya/KLIA is fantastic.

MRT1 which is slated for completion by end 2016-mid 2017 has many stations nearby: the nearest by distance is Bukit Dukung MRT (feeder buses will be available from Sungai Long), whereas most convenient ones to park and ride would probably be Taman Koperasi Cuepacs MRT or Bandar Tun Hussein Onn MRT, all within 8 minutes drive.

Bukit Enggang (the hill next to Palm Walk) was a forest reserve prior to 1990s

Sungai Long formerly is a rubber estate according to report below:

..英國撤離馬來亞後,這塊佔地500英畝的樹膠芭地,賣給一家多用途公司,隨後轉賣給日本公司Marubeni Sdn Bhd。

Thanks for sharing... Balakong and Sungai Long seems like used to be rubber estate.. now all changed to residential project...

According to your link in Wiki, The Mines is part of Balakong

Based on the link below, Balakong is part of Seri Kembangan. But again google map always make mistake tongue.gif

*
I think Balakong now separated in two parts, the part still call "Balakong" under MPKJ? Mines is located in other part of Balakong, under seri kembangan, which is under MPSJ now...
