wah if got gaming should i get the 6 series better ? but like hard to find this model online
*
The thing about 29" 6 series is that the price is quite similar to the 34UC79G. Why not just add a few hundred ringgit more for the bigger one? (same 1080p though).

The lg 29um68 is older model , lg 29um59a replace it and this model is for Asia if not wrong .

If 68 is 2k very overprice haha, it should be around 800-1000 only
*
Ah Okok. That makes sense, since the previous 59 doesn't have FreeSync.

I also read that 59A replaces 68 but 59A do not have DP (68 has DP), plus 6 series is more towards gaming.

When 68 was still available (a few months back), it costs around RM1k with FreeSync.
2k is not worth the current price unless you want to get it as a rare model since 68 is no longer in the market?

If 59A comes with G-sync, the price will definitely be another RM400 I suppose, since G-sync is proprietary and requires an embedded chip.
*
I think I'm just gonna get the 59A la, can save so much money laugh.gif

Same here, thinking of getting a 34" 144Hz monitor but with only 1080p resolution. Not too sure to go for the G-Sync monitor or not. Just thinking of using it to play PUGB and SC2 mostly and minor photo and video editing.
*
Yeah, best way to decide is to see it for yourself but I can't find a place in Klang Valley that has many demo UW monitor units.

I saw the 34" 1440p one and even at that resolution I thought the pixel was already quite obvious.

Damn, can't decide between ACER XV340CK and the Xiaomi 34" laugh.gif

Acer:
-1440p
-144hz
-IPS
-Flat
-Cheaper

Xiaomi:
-1440p
-144hz
-VA
-Curved
-More expensive

Xiaomi? hahaha finally i got 1080p for gaming.

Yeah Xiaomi's got a 1440p 144hz ultrawide. Nice, how much did you get yours for?

QUOTE(ReaperX @ Jul 5 2020, 02:01 PM)
You should consider local warranty support as well and how long it covers. Good luck!
*
That's true. But the VA on that xiaomi looks really good haha.

How do you like it? Have you had any IPS experience to compare it with? Does the curve affect you on other work related stuff?

Cooler Master's:

Leading the list is 34-inch GM34-CW 21:9 curved gaming monitor which carries a DisplayHDR 400 VA Quantum Dot display panel with a native resolution of 3440 x 1440. This FreeSync 2 and G-SYNC compatible monitor also has a refresh rate of 144Hz alongside 95% DCI-P3 and 125% sRGB colour gamut coverage.

RM3k. Seems to have very similar specs to Xiaomi's.

Recently found out about titan army.. for such huge monitors with below average pricing too. And got local warranty. But doesn't seem to get the sales?
*
Too bad only 1080p. The back looks exactly like CM's. Wonder if CM got theirs from them laugh.gif

I wonder if Xiaomi still worth it if it's going to be 2000 or assuming 2099?
*
For me, it's still worth it. The Cooler Master's UW one has the exact same spec and it's retailed at 3k

RM1999

i was told that ultrawide monitor is not suitable for everyone. some ppl mentioned that they get dizzy very fast because the display is too wide?

ps: i also get dizzy very fast maybe due to old age. playing far cry 5 for 20 minutes already start want to vomit tongue.gif
*
Hmm, I'm older than you (assuming the 87 in your name laugh.gif ) and I've got no issues with ultrawide. In fact, I can't go back to 16:9.

Though mine is the smaller one, 29". Been using it for a few years already

maybe diff ppl different reaction towards ultrawide. somehow i am very prone to dizziness on fps games lately.

in this case, may as well stick back to my 27''.

btw what is the distance between you and the monitor during gaming?
*
About an arm's length. I do get dizziness in FPS, but not all. In fact, probably just 2 that I can think of. Soldier of fortune, and Half Life. laugh.gif

haha those games are wayyyy back when fps games are still new.

btw arm's length is pretty near considering ultrawide.
*
Yeah and mine is a smaller UW, 29", and 1080 only. Still ok.

But when I play MMOs competitively then gotta move the top left corner UI to the middle a bit.

Guys, im considering between the Xiaomi and Acer XV34OVK which is cheaper.

Main usage will be productivity works and trading. Is curved screen better suit my needs?

Tq
*
You should try both. Brother-in-law bought the Acer, played a little tomb raider on it, did some surfing etc and I thought 34 is a bit big and wide for a flat panel. Eyes straining a little at the corners

But of course that's just my experience

So many using the same panel. Xiaomi Gigabyte and AOC all using the 1500R 34inch VA panel 144hz. Price also similar. Which one better?
*
Xiaomi's sleeker design and very minimal branding got my vote laugh.gif
