Yes im going for that as well. Maybe if, the X34P panel somehow can be OCed further beyond 100Hz, I'd sell the X34A at a loss and get it, otherwise, maybe just keep the 34A. waiting for the slight improvements for months is definitely not worth my time.

Mafia 3 is coming out somemore. And been holding on from playing Witcher 3 just to experience it on UW.

Lol bro I've been surveying as well, and you quoted me just now and i think Topmaid price is the cheapest so far.

They're waiting for the stock to arrive also. Well no rush then coz I also need to revamp my desktop area first in order to accommodate the large footprint of the X34A. Current table is too tight. Gotta visit IKEA soon.

Got mine as well. Enough of waiting for the X34P, took the X34A and called it a day.

anyway those who plan to buy the monitor, it's advisable to get your own DP cable, the included one is only 1m long, bloody damn short considering the monitor is a 34" UW, means bigger table normally?.. wtf ACer

yup no problem with 100Hz, even on a 5m DP v1.2 cable, as widely reported on the other forums whereas they have flickering@100Hz using a longer than 2m DP cable. Just make sure it's v1.2 then good to go.

just that initially mine came with a slight IPS backlight bleeding on the top and bottom right corners, noticed it when watching some movies, but did some light massages and rubs on the edge of those areas, reduced the bleed greatly. Really happy with my unit here

And I still haven't peeled off the plastic protector on the back side. The glossy finish still annoys me lol

lol true that! The curve is really subtle, I personally don't notice the curvature unless i stand up and look at the top frame. Well no worries, the X34P is still coming anyway. Sell this off and get the curvy baby next year then for you?

I think most probably will be a direct replacement for the X34A one so price should be around the same RRP as the current X34A. When it's out, will definitely go and have it checked out, to determine whether the curvier nature of the panel will make a difference or not. It'd be great if the panel can be OCed beyond 100Hz, maybe 120Hz?

couldn't find any of it as a demo unit @ Lowyat few days ago. Checked YouTube but gotta check in person to assess.

just visited what I could during that day since CODing with few sellers at other areas also, went to AllIT though but only had the Asus PG348Q on display, in which it was very nice. and didn't know got Acer showroom on Ground Floor lol. Lowyat wasn't it was used to be, lots of Pakistanis/Bangladeshis laptop sellers who kept on harassing me in buying their laptops at their booths. not a really good experience. If it wasn't for TopMaid, I didn't think I'd gone there. Anyhow will still have to see the upcoming X34P in person coz that was my initial target.

You dont see people complaining because there aren't many people using it. Asus isn't known for their good QC for their monitor lineups. I'd say it's a hit-or-miss thing really. Depends on luck, like a silicon-lottery for the processors.

Or maybe unlucky coz Asus Malaysia has decided to put an absurd price tag on it. Silly really.

You're right. But it's like them Asus MY buy those US retail units and sell em here. Price is ridiculous no matter how I try to justify it, but maybe that's just me.

If you ask me where to go to for viewing the products, I don't know bro. I always keep my options open in terms of buying stuff. I took time my time in buying stuff, and buy from various sellers, and mostly online deals.

In my case of purchasing the X34A, I had checked various sellers and ended up buying with TopMaid in which I didn't know before also.

You have to wait for others to guide you on where to check out the display you want. While waiting have a go in finding them online, be it from Lelong (lots of trusted, well-established online sellers there), Lazada even on Lowyat here. Will give you a lot of ideas on what to expect, especially price differences between sellers and after-sales service, if any.

it seems that you've got one more upgrade to do. Change to the Green side or else no 100Hz for ya. your X34A will behave like any normal 60Hz screen. That's a waste of pawwaaa

yes bro. if not, it will simply lock to a normal 60Hz. 100Hz is enabled via the embedded Gsync module of the panel.

anyway, one upgrade at a time. Pair the monitor with a compatible NV GPU and you can enjoy Gsync also. It isn't just about the 100Hz, for me the most important thing is it is Gsync-capable panel.

what's your full pc spec, if you don't mind me asking? Just buy one thing at a time. I'm in a midst of upgrading also, buy some hardwares at a time, on my own pace.
