If u dun mind an older model, Mi3 is still quite a capable phone with it's Snapdragon 800 processor. Xiaomi Malaysia is still selling it at RM769.

If you really eyeing true flagship challenger with 4000mah battery, then Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro is a great choice.
But this phone does not have Micro SD slot, no fingerprint scanner, then battery life also not as good.

Otherwise, you may wait for the Malaysian version yet to be launched Redmi Note 3, with SD650 processor and also comes with Micro SD slot, fingerprint scanner.

Another choice, maybe is the ASUS Padfone S, the 16GB version, priced at RM599 or RM669, if you can find one.
Or directly top up to RM899, get ASUS Padfone S Plus, 64GB version, 3GB RAM, and still comes with Micro SD slot.
Both with Snapdragon 801 processor.

The least popular, maybe is the Lenovo Vibe Z K910, Snapdragon 800, previously can get at RM569, now price may hike back to RM799.
It has 4G, which Mi3 don't has. But same 16GB memory without Micro SD slot.

Depend what you really want as phone size is different, can't really compare fairly.
Of course, Mi5 hardware is the latest and more powerful, but Huawei Mate 8 is not far behind, with very good battery life.

You got the point, but bigger battery capacity not always means better battery life.
You may pick the phone from Samsung, Huawei and Meizu for really long battery life.

As navigation apps always turn on the screen, power saving screen like the AMOLED screen from Samsung phone do help prolong battery life. Pick the phone which at least 3000mah.

Hi there, looking for a good phone to replace my trusty I-Phone 5 which is nearing the end of it's life cycle. As a new timer to the field of Android, I would like to seek your advice on which is the best device that meet the below criteria

1. Brand: Any (Except Asus, Lenovo, and Xiaomi)

2. Budget: (Around 3k). I am willing to stretch my wallet a little for something that can last at least 2 years.

3. Specs: Not a tech geek here, but should have a strong processor (quad core at least) , good battery life, plenty of ram (3gb min) and expandable storage. Dual sim would be a bonus but not necessary.

4. What you need in the phone - Coming from an I-phone and iOs user, I would ideally want this phone to have a great camera and an os that is easy to navigate and facilitates productivity and multitasking. With my budget, I would also expect something durable and is able to qualify for at least 2 major software updates in the future.

Thank you for your kind attention.

Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge. Depends on ur preference for the design and specs. And also S7 Edge is slightly bigger in size and battery.

Huawei Mate 8. The bezel-less design is nice imho. RM2099.

LG V10. RM2599.

Sony Z5 Premium. RM2799.

If u can live without microsd slot, u can consider Nexus 6P too. RM2699.
