If you want almost no bloatware on your phone, it's better for you to go for OnePlus One or Mi Note.

1) Motorola, Huawei, Xiaomi, OnePlus
2) Budget between RM600 - RM1350
3) Mid-range Specs - Fast/not-lagging, user-friendly interface/navigating within the phone
4) Durable and good battery life

Not exactly a heavy phone user, only heavy on general apps such as internet browsing, whatsapp, fb/Instagram and games like PvZ and candy crush . Seldom use the camera functions too hence I felt my first, and current, Iphone 5 was underutilized since its suppose to be a high-ended phone equipped with varieties of (complicated) functions.

Phone Models recommended thus far

Motorola: Droid Turbo 2
Huawei: Honor 7
Xiaomi: Mi4i or Mi4C
OnePlus: OnePlus Two (though seems to have exceeded my budget)

Transitioning from iOS to Android so hoping for something that is user-friendly. Appreciate alternative brands aside from the ones mentioned above.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the recommendation. How about OnePlus X? is it any better than OnePlus One? Currently also reviewing Honor 7 too, still undecided which to take.

Thanks for the recommendation.

How does Huawei G8 fare against XiaoMi Mi4C?
Is it better or on par with Huawei Honor 7?

Thanks again notworthy.gif

Depend which perspective you looking at.

Mi4C is NOT officially selling here. So no Global ROM, we have to fix our own shit for Google services, guide available online, so depend how tech savvy you are. It rocking best SoC among the others two, Snapdragon 808, and other spec sheets, I guess you check gsmarena for that..

G8 is "Officially" selling here, with local warranty support, rocking the best Fingerprint sensors like Nexus 6P or Honor 7 or Mate series.. EMUI based on Android 5.1. Is having better GPU than Honor 7 Kirin, but not the CPU raw power. Oh but wait, it have OIS capable on the camera.

Honor 7 also Officially selling here, almost identically to G8 but there some minor spec better than G8, like the CPU raw power mentioned earlier.. WiFi AC (well not sure you use or not) or Bigger megapixel (but no OIS)

So is all up to you... Check out the phone itself, list out which feature are more important to you.

If you are not tech savvy enough to flash CyanogenOS yourself, don't buy it. It just a dupe of OnePlus One with fingerprint scanner.

Want local warranty? Pick OnePlus One.
Want fingerprint scanner? Pick OnePlus Two, Huawei G8, Huawei Honor 7

Anything other than that? I'll never buy a phone with miui os again . Might add around another rm400 if there is better choice.
