Would also want to correct this misconception. You do NOT need to become PR to service your 3-yr bond after graduation. The bond is just that you have to work in Singapore for 3 yrs. You can still be under Employment Pass, if you do not want to apply for PR.

In case someone tries to debate this, I have completed my 3-yr bond, and am still on EP after 6 yrs, since I do NOT have any intention of applying for PR.

well i don't have a degree......i was thinking more of the normal kind of job like a general worker....it's kinda hard to find jobs like that in jobstreet and jobsdb...are jobs like supermarket cashier or waiter available in abundance?

Wanna ask where should i look for job in s'pore?
Should i start searching in M'sia The Star
Or go down to S'pore and find from s'pore newspaper daily. (considering accomodation not a problem)- stay in friend's house

Well, my friend(a Burmese) applied job in Singapore, but have to pay $3000.00 for the S Pass. He mentioned to me that the company din't pay for him. Just want to know is there a rules to pay $3000 for foreigner?

a fren in sg recently told me that i can find a job thru an agent in sg.....if my application for the job is succesful....the company will pay the agent....is it normal? do i need to pay money to the agent? is there a "catch"?

Get a contract to work in Singapore before but I rejected due to cannot cook at a rented house.lolx. The salary is SGP1.2K So i think it's the same if I live in KL now, Btw now got a job in KL with RM1.7K. Lucky I'm not in Singapore.

I just want to know, lets just say he wants to have the same living standard as Malaysia, say a car and a 1100 sf condo (since both of these make up the highest expenses) is it possible to achieve with Sg3K?

if u dun mind goolie. i can shared wif u bout my bro which was started as a programmer at SG as well.  My bro started at around SGD1600 roughly 4 years ago. While in Malaysia, he got more than 2 years working experience. Only the last year which was related to Computer but as a Tutor only.

Normally, Singaporean employer won't care bout ur Malaysia University Degree.  If Oversea cert holder then u got extra requirement. As u only got 1 year of working experience, i afraid u will be offer around SGD1600 to SGD2000. Well, dun get discourage. U will get better pay after u working for a year or more in any related field in SG. Then, u will be automatically pump up ur value.

Singaporean taking us(Malaysian) as foreign labour. Our salary is very hard to competitive wif local Singaporean. This is why we got chances to get employed. Employer believe we will be more hardworking than Singaporean. Now IT field in SG is getting even challenging, since Indonesian, Indian, & China ppl are struggling in Singapore too.

Anyway, try to get more certificate to upgrade ur status while u happen to work in SG. It is very important in Singaporean society. Especially IT field. Else, u dun hope u can get promote much easier. They want u to haf a shining background instead of just bloody skill.

I got a friend waiting for 5 years cuz his supervisor said he will promoting him. Now oredi 5th year nothing happend even my friend is so hardworking. Then another friend get promoted immediately cuz he studied for a certificate. This is very truth. Singaporean very care bout their employee's images & background.

My best friend have work in singapore now.. life like hell, rental, food, transport all expensive. you work there salary around $2300 sing dollar almost same you work in malaysia Nasi ayam ($3.2 - Rm4). But my friend now already move to jb, but still need to wake up around 6am to starting go sing work. If you didnt found the really good work. recomment you stay malaysia la..
