Seem like Dell is waiting for 7-series HQ part to be released before selling AW13 in Malaysia.

QUOTE(veddex @ Jan 7 2017, 07:18 PM) idk .. but alienware 13 look so ugly too me.. its just a 13" and the thick, err look like a sandwiches to me... just my personal thinking.. no sweat I kind of agree, It is as wide as a 15" laptop I wish Dell just put a bezel-less 15" XPS screen on it and call it a day. |

Maybe can slap in a 1TB M.2 SATA SSD into the AW13 for more storage because PCI-E is too expensive.

QUOTE(horns @ Jan 25 2017, 02:31 PM) if your system have 16gb ram or more, you can turn page file and hibernation off. (meaning more free ssd space for your own use) Win10 doesn't seem to like that or maybe I did it wrong. I keep getting low memory error if I turn off page file even though my RAM usage isn't full. Yep 16GB ram. |

QUOTE(horns @ Feb 6 2017, 12:46 AM) oh; weird one of my laptops has only 16gb; i turn pagefile off and has no issue. maybe it's because of the software we are using? Yeah probably the software used. It was okay back in Windows 7, and Windows 10 doesn't seem to like it. I set back the pagefile and problems solved. Never went and find out why. yes they're the same in my area; sub contractors QUOTE(borgyang @ Feb 6 2017, 09:52 AM) I ordered the one without OLED before that option is available. The OLED is definitely a nicer addition especially if you're doing photo/video edits. I'm just going to get it to play some games so 1080p is okay for me. Expect to get it on 20th Feb. |

QUOTE(horns @ Feb 8 2017, 09:14 PM) yeah that's fine too. i suggested the custom pagefile size is because it's much more smaller than the system-allocated one, so you get to save some ssd space for better use. lol I put the page file into my HDD. Windows recommend 2.9GB, I set 2.9-24GB (1.5x16GB) and usually it'll use around 3.1GB. Maybe I should just assign 4GB into the SSD. |

Alright I've set 4GB on my SSD, and giving it a try since I still has some spare space there.
The AW15 thermal paste issue did freak me a bit. I don't want to mess with re-pasting myself. |

You mean I won't void the warranty if I do the recasting myself?

QUOTE(horns @ Feb 10 2017, 09:28 PM) i have gone back to desktop gaming. more comfortable to me haha if you're careful, no (simply put, no damage to original parts, no warranty voided). tbh as long as you're careful and patient, nothing will go wrong. also, after the second time of disassembly, i think you can remember what to do in the right sequence to do a whole disassembly. i also swapped almost everything that i could replace in my aws (took out stock parts and swapped ram, ssds, replacement hdd caddy for bdrom, wifi card, cpu heat sink, cpu, gpu, thermal paste, thermal pads; these stock parts are still like new today) when original parts (e.g. mobo, power jack, keyboard, power brick, display) had issues, dell techs came and helped me replace faulty parts only. |

The one on the right is a Tobii IR tracker combination. Just make sure you have that when you buy your Alienware. My AW13R3 has it.
