QUOTE(ycs @ May 16 2015, 10:40 AM) THIS. ^At that time, the traffic is moving, so TS should have sticked nearer to the car in front so by the time traffic stays still, TS is already at the other side of the yellow box. |

Ure wrong in this case bro.. QUOTE(Orias @ May 16 2015, 12:08 PM) I would say the van is wrong because the van was driving recklessly compared to TS who was merely driving ahead in a moving traffic. UNLESS if the traffic is clearly RED, then TS should be stopping behind the yellow box. But this is not the case because the traffic is still moving. The van definitely has the right of way (to turn right). But the van driver was reckless too. But if you watch the video carefully, the van also try to cari pasal recklessly by trying to barge in knowing well that he can't go through the gap in the first place because TS was already halfway in the yellow box blocking the van's path to turn right. If the van driver wishes to turn right and has enough courtesy, he should turn after TS has pass through. Looking at the video, when TS was about to move, the traffic TS was in was already moving. It just happened that TS was slow enough to accelerate that allowed the van to recklessly barge in. In this case, the action of the van driver blocked everyone as a result. The van driver can't move (because the gap is already small) and TS can't move as well. The van driver should have turned slightly further in front instead of barging into that gap. That's more clear for my story.. Well said...UNLESS if the traffic is clearly RED, then TS should be stopping behind the yellow box. But this is not the case because the traffic is still moving. The van definitely has the right of way (to turn right). But the van driver was reckless too. I'm driving a manual and that time I was just using the clutch to move my car instead of stepping the gas.. That's why abit slow... If I step my gas I'll be boosting and kiss the car infront...(mine is a mod car btw) And the more kiasu driver is they keep stepping the gas and brakes to keep close enough to the front car and not letting others pass during a jam.. |

QUOTE(JayLeong @ May 17 2015, 03:13 AM) That's more clear for my story.. Well said... No problem.I'm driving a manual and that time I was just using the clutch to move my car instead of stepping the gas.. That's why abit slow... If I step my gas I'll be boosting and kiss the car infront...(mine is a mod car btw) And the more kiasu driver is they keep stepping the gas and brakes to keep close enough to the front car and not letting others pass during a jam.. As long as the traffic is still moving, those moving ahead has the right of way instead of the one who turned. By right, those cars on the left at the junction should give way to you too. And the van on the right should stopped to give way to you too instead of simply barging in knowing well that the traffic is still moving. I could see that the van did not even slow down before turning right. Also, the van driver keep pointing at his indicator lights. By showing the indicator lights, it still didn't give him the right of way. He still have to stop to wait for you to pass through since your traffic is still moving. The van driver was just taking advantage of the situation since you accelerated slowly. UNLESS the traffic has come to a complete standstill or if the traffic light is red, then you should NOT be in the yellow box. This post has been edited by Blofeld: May 17 2015, 10:25 AM |

actually if you focus on both . Both are wrong. TS not suppose to stop on the yellow crossing lines.
2nd since TS is on main road TS have the right of the road. 3rd the van number plate is wrong can report 4th TS is also wrong he know he cant cross he still stop on yellow line |

Haha..
yellow box.. you know the traffic is slow and there is a possibility you cannot make it further in front due to slow traffic in front. Use some common sense pls. Be considerate lah. Dont block others. Lucky that fella never whack you. i know you didnt mean to block but next time make sure there is enough space For you to move. what i notice, when it come into this situation (kaput traffic light), everyone is a b******d. Nobody will give way. |

In this situation, especially IN Malaysia, i feel this situation is 50/50.
Should give and take. But that guy was a dick who initially tried to quickly swerve in like that. |

You should either stick closer to the car in front of you or let the van pass if the gap between you and the car in front is not close and wide enough to let the van pass. In this particular case, the gap was too wide. You should have stopped and let the van pass to ease the traffic congestion.
