if you stick close to the car in front, this won't happen cos no gap for the fella brows.gif

THIS. ^

At that time, the traffic is moving, so TS should have sticked nearer to the car in front so by the time traffic stays still, TS is already at the other side of the yellow box.

I would say the van is wrong because the van was driving recklessly compared to TS who was merely driving ahead in a moving traffic.

UNLESS if the traffic is clearly RED, then TS should be stopping behind the yellow box. But this is not the case because the traffic is still moving.

The van definitely has the right of way (to turn right). But the van driver was reckless too.

But if you watch the video carefully, the van also try to cari pasal recklessly by trying to barge in knowing well that he can't go through the gap in the first place because TS was already halfway in the yellow box blocking the van's path to turn right.

If the van driver wishes to turn right and has enough courtesy, he should turn after TS has pass through. Looking at the video, when TS was about to move, the traffic TS was in was already moving. It just happened that TS was slow enough to accelerate that allowed the van to recklessly barge in.

In this case, the action of the van driver blocked everyone as a result. The van driver can't move (because the gap is already small) and TS can't move as well.

The van driver should have turned slightly further in front instead of barging into that gap.

That's more clear for my story.. Well said...

I'm driving a manual and that time I was just using the clutch to move my car instead of stepping the gas.. That's why abit slow... If I step my gas I'll be boosting and kiss the car infront...(mine is a mod car btw)

And the more kiasu driver is they keep stepping the gas and brakes to keep close enough to the front car and not letting others pass during a jam..

No problem.

As long as the traffic is still moving, those moving ahead has the right of way instead of the one who turned.

By right, those cars on the left at the junction should give way to you too. And the van on the right should stopped to give way to you too instead of simply barging in knowing well that the traffic is still moving. I could see that the van did not even slow down before turning right.

Also, the van driver keep pointing at his indicator lights. By showing the indicator lights, it still didn't give him the right of way. He still have to stop to wait for you to pass through since your traffic is still moving.

The van driver was just taking advantage of the situation since you accelerated slowly.

UNLESS the traffic has come to a complete standstill or if the traffic light is red, then you should NOT be in the yellow box.

I'm with this.
But the order of fault is
Trafficlight
Van
TS

TS still on the main road, van yg melulu masuk simpang.

Yup

The traffic is still moving and TS has the right of way to move forward. Those cars on the left should give way to TS too. But because of them, they are causing the traffic to move slowly.

The van was trying to barge into the gap knowing well that traffic is moving forward. Showing the indicator light doesn't grant him the right to turn recklessly.

So I wonder why some support what the van is doing. The van driver is clearly driving recklessly. He didn't even bother to stop for a while before turning.

If I were the van driver, I wouldn't just turn right recklessly like that. Before I turn I have to make sure there is no incoming traffic that would put myself in danger or others from the incoming traffic.

What if there is a bike coming between the cars (blindspot), then it would just hit the van.

when did ts rush ahead? he was moving at 5-10 km/h. watch again, and tell me if its rushing ahead. the only thing that i see thats rushing is the van. who gave you the right to go into a junction after youve given the signal? people like you will cause accident. same case on a straight road/highway, give signal, instantly tukar jalan. 'genius' type

dude, when did i say not to give signal? you got reading comprehension failure, brah? signal memang kena bagi, then wait, then if you see that car is moving/following traffic ahead slowly, you can ask nicely to go into the junction by lifting your hand. you dont know? im teaching you now

Yup nod.gif

I am always in that position of the van driver in my neighbourhood. I need to turn right to get into my neighbourhood but I don't turn right recklessly like that van driver.

Just because I have already put the signal, that doesn't mean I can just simply turn right. sweat.gif That would cause an accident like what the van driver did.

When the traffic is moving fast, I have to wait until the traffic comes to a complete standstill (or if there is no incoming traffic), then I turn right.

Or sometimes the traffic is moving slowly, i just need to wait for someone from the opposite lane who is courteous enough to stop behind the box to let me turn right first.

Then again, I cannot simply turn right immediately, i have to check carefully if there are bikes coming between the cars. Once everything is clear, then only i turn right.
