OC-able but still on budget.
2x4GB n single 8GB got differences?

No harm done imo.
*
Well, with a stick of 8GB,you save RAM slots..plus higher resale value compared to 2 sticks of 4GB IINM. wink.gif

POssible for me to replace the hard disk  to SSD?

Also, will the processor/PSU/mobo able to support future graphic card? Let's say future 2 years graphic card.
*
I'd not suggest an SSD in a build that is less than 3.5K. tongue.gif

CPU and MoBo..yes,PCI-E 2.0 and 3.0 only has slight performance(?) difference.

The PSU,it might degrade, but as long as the card isn't one of those power hunger monster, should be fine.

A good quality PSU like Seasonic S12II 620W 80+ Bronze starts at RM319. wink.gif

Let me get my processor tiers correct:

Core 2 Duo < Core i5 < Core i7 < Xeon. Ain't Xeon a server grade processor??
*
Not all Xeons are only for servers. You can use e.g Intel Xeon E5-2699 on an LGA-2011 v3 motherboard. brows.gif

There are quad cores, quad cores with HT,6 cores and more.

Planning a heavy gaming  build with this spec with a budget of Rm5000 and playing on BenQ GL2460HM 60Hz 24.0" Monitor(1080p)

OS: WINDOW 7.1

Cpu:INTEL XEON E3-1231V3 - RM915
Gpu:GIGABYTE GTX970 GAMING G1 4GB - RM1649
Motherboard:ASUS H97-PRO GAMER - RM425

TOTAL=4171
.
1. Firstly is there anything wrong with the part i choose or anything that i can use to  improve it with
2. So i have RM 800 minus all of the above. So i planning on buying a case with a cooler. I'm planning on playing for 24 hour or leaving the computer on for 2-4 days and my room is very hot like hell itself. Any recommended case and cooler combo with the remaining RM800?. At first i wanted to use the Corsair carbide 300r+Cryorig h7 but decided it was not enough. I Thank you for the recommendation.
*
Overpriced parts.GTX980 only costs RM400-500 more.

BTW bro..did you checked the IdealTech's price list? The prices of the CPU and MoBo you listed above are only applicable when you bundle red + green... whistling.gif

Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 3.4GHz RM949
Asrock H97-Pro4 RM369

Windows 7 Pro 64Bit RM200
Total:RM4981.76

I'd suggest you to wait for benchmarks of R9 390X...it might beat the GTX980. tongue.gif

Still got tiny budget left for an additional case fan, should be around RM20-40.

QUOTE(sue_cinta @ Jun 19 2015, 10:58 PM)
Not so sure whether this is the correct place to ask this...if not, dont kick me laugh.gif

I'm building a new system...and,
I got "another" budget around RM1,500 after this raya fest
What I need is suggestion for:-
• GPU*
• Full HD Monitor LED** (prefer one with DVI / HDMI input)
• Custom extention cable; looking for one suitable with my color theme

This is what I already have since early this year...
Collecting one by one each months smile.gif
The color theme are BLACK-RED-WHITE

• Mobo: MSI Z97 Gaming 7
• CPU: Intel Core i5 4690k
• RAM: Kingston Hyper X Fury 32GB 1600MHz (4x8GB DIMM)
• Chasis: NZXT S340 White
• CPU Cooler: Corsair CX750M semi-modular
• 1x 128GB Transcend 370 SSD
• 1x 128GB Plextor M6e M.2
• 2x 2TB WD Green 7200RPM

*GPU
• I'm a photographer/videographer. Looking for GPU that beneficial for my video rendering & photo editing. Lots of people say get GPU that have CUDA... and that would be NVidia... if NVidia, the Physx also beneficial for gaming tech... not sure whether would go for multi-GPU setup or not (tight budget)...if ATI, with same price range to NVidia, perhap I could get away with higher VRAM (am I able?)

**Monitor
• Would love to have TWO Full HD display setup... but then again, if NVidia (above)... most survey said that NVidia Surround is not yet stable... would love to do the Eyefinity with Flex Technology... then again (above), I would lose the benificial of CUDA from NVidia... Grrrr... Linus from LinusTech / NCIX suggest to run both... but from the setup show in youtube, it's kinda "seems like I'm not capable of it"... laugh.gif
*
Not all games use PhysX..there are a few games that was developed using NVidia Gameworks..like pCars and The Witcher 3,so AMD cards get lower FPS. doh.gif

I'd not go for an SLI setup with a mid-range card, rather do that with a high-end card. biggrin.gif

Palit GTX750 StormX OC 1GB GDDR5 RM434.60
Samsung S22C170BS 21.5" RM402.80
Dell S2240L 21.5" RM549
Total:RM1386.40
Prices with cents are from Jayacom@LYP and the monitor is from Viewnet@LYP. smile.gif

Are you going to be gaming? hmm.gif

About the sleeved cables for PSU..you can buy it at IdealTech.

Wow, thanks bro... very informative. Especially the custom sleeve extention cable infos biggrin.gif
Agreed with the PhysX stuffs...
SLI - Might be not... tongue.gif
What are your thought about MSI N760 TF 2GD5 OC @ MSI R9 280x Gaming 3GD5 other than "over price" laugh.gif
i7 4790k is an option at the beginning... but, had made some research... comparing between those 2 CPU's... just a slight improvement... 10-12%
So, I go for "value for money" of the capable i5 4690k rather than i7 4790k. That's why I throw the rest on the 32GB RAM... initially planing to get only 16GB... smile.gif
*
I don't think you can find MSI GTX760 TF anymore, plus the MSI GTX960 Tiger OC costs the same. tongue.gif MSI R9 280X Gaming costs RM12xx,which is extremely close to the price of the cheapest GTX970 which costs RM1271. sweat.gif

Are you going to be gaming?

*
Looks fine, though you can add RM20 to the PSU and get Seasonic M12II Evo 620W 80+ Bronze Fully Modular for more headroom for future upgrades. wink.gif

And yes,the Seasonic S12G 550W is a good PSU.

Really arrr? Lemme check... yeah you're right laugh.gif too blind to see... all this RED-BLACK-WHITE theme... tongue.gif

Yeahh, will be doing some gaming... light gaming... maybe some BF here and there... and, I havent play D3 yet  blush.gif
*
Are you fine with the card not red/black in colour but red/white?Asus GTX960 Turbo 2GB GDDR5 RM849.Strix edition RM939.The R9 380s cost around the same btw.

You want 2 monitors,a GPU and sleeved cable but with the budget you've,you might have to sacrifice a monitor. sweat.gif

"Non-gaming" monitors around that price range:

Asus VX239H RM789
Dell S2415H RM759
Dell P2314H RM739

Either one is a good choice.

Just a quick question. Is there any lowyat shop that selling the Zotac GTX 960 @ RM699 promo because I would like to build new rig based on that gc.

If not, then i just might buy it from lyn seller.
*
I think Cycom are selling the Zotac GTX960 at RM726.

You can ask CyntrixTech or TechView if the RM699 promo is still going.

What if I bought my Corsair Carbide Air 540 for around RM460, then spent another RM330 on modding it, then built the rig completely and used the case for half a year and suddenly got tempted with new case release? (Right now the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX is the one that really tempts me A LOT lol)

That..umm..the choice is in your hands. tongue.gif
