1)just move the files that u already download to ur desired place.(eg. E:\downloads)
2)remove the torrent in ur uTorrent.
3)add the torrent back in, but choose the location to save the files, where u move it in step 1. (eg. E:\downloads)

after that it will do a hash check and you can download like normal

I want to make a simple inquiry...I have Green light at the bottom of my utorrent. IS that means my port forwarding is done correctly?

hey guys... i'm currently using the latest utorrent version.... and i've been experiencing something weird about it

everytime my utorrent is running in the background... i can't seem to open my firefox (as in, i click but it will not open but when i enter the task manager... i can see firefox running in the background)

even my RSS and my yahoo widgets stop working when i open utorrent

however, once i close my utorrent... everything is back to normal... my RSS and widget is working fine n internet surfing is fast...

freaking weird.... hmm.gif then i tried with other torrent clients and i get the same thing.... is this a common problem? cos if it is.. i would like to repair it instead of reformatting my computer....

thanks and cheers! smile.gif

I have a problem: There are 5768 seeders, but its only downloading from just 5. How do I make it download from all of the 5k people?

It is showing something like 5 (5768) in the seeds section.

Your problem might be solved by using uTorrent 1.7.7 , since it had Vista support and it it stable... icon_rolleyes.gif

is it that a connection cannot have more than 2 utorrent running in the same time?

Hi all,

Just started from yesterday night, my utorrent suddenly show error: insufficient system resource to bla bla bal. Then a red cross icon in front of my torrent. Then system will go unstable until I close utorrent and restart windows. I've been using utorrent for 2 years plus without any problem, I've never change any setting but suddenly this problem appears.

Anybody having this problem? Any help?

Urgent!

Thanks!

Hi there. I am a new user to uTorrent and I just started using it since last night. However, the download speed never gets past 10kB/s for any single file from mininova. I doubt this is normal as I had read some of the post stated that their download speed was either 60kB/s or higher. Is there something I missed out? Please guide me in the right direction. Thanks.

Spartacvs, was the torrent file well seeded and have you done the necessary? i.e forward your port, patch with lvllord and the likes? You're probably throttled if you have.

You might wanna try uTorrent v1.8 instead. Discussion on v1.8 can be found here -> http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/606143.

I've been using 1.8 beta with various of build version quite awhile now. The only thing that is still bugging me is that the download speed is somewhat maintained at 35.5kB/s and wouldn't go beyond that. It's like the speed is capped. Why? I don't know.

Anybody has encountered similar experience? 35.5kB/s I think it's quite decent speed already but I believe it's capable to go more than that

Any solution? Thanks.

actually it really depends on the file you downloading. if less people seed, you will get slow speed too. but port forwarding really helps alot. at first i only get around 20kb max for dl, but after port forward, i can get around 60kb+ for my 512kbps connection.

OK, hope someone can help me out, but its not looking good.

uTorrent (was 1.77) keeps crashing instantly, as soon as I start it up.

Think it's 'cos I renamed some of the files that had been downloaded already, before starting uTorrent, without deleting them from the uTorrent download list first.

Now, even after uninstalling and installing uTorrent 1.8, just keeps crashing.

System Restore is off, so I don't have that option either.

Any suggestions?

^ it's not recommended to use utorrent1.8 as it is only a BETA version. Better use version 1.77.

I think the problem occurs because your pc always shut down not properly, rite?

From my experience, it happens because when selecting the files to be downloaded, you chose to select only the ones you wanted, and not all. So the utorrent will create another .torrent file called Partdownload (im not sure the correct term, lol)

so it is better for you from now on, to select all files to be downloaded instead of choosing only the ones you wanted.
