Nothing's changed. Ever since there were opinions, there will always be horribly made ones.

> Ad hominem attacks

This is just begging for it. It's the easiest thing to ignore and move on. Ad hominem only works because the supposed "victim" got their butts all tingly.

Again, I really don't get why this is a problem at the first place. The only reason why this warrants a complain is because you want the "last word". How is that relatively more mature than some idiot calling you an idiot?

Well these days I'm more of an observer rather than active participant, but still, when I see other people flinging such attacks at each other when they run out of useful, cogent things to say, it's still annoying. If wanna debate do it properly la..... It's just not sporting...

There's a new trending topic in RWI about how an "academic" discussion about whether or not Chinese is a kiasu race.

I'm appalled at how the moderators of LYN would allow such bigotry and racism to flourish in a forum that's supposed to bring Malaysians together.

I understand that it's hard to moderate RWI, yet what's the point of displaying those rules up there with things like

"3. Please make sure there is no generalization as well as any kind of prejudicial or hate driven religious or race content in these discussions."

while having topic titles which goes DIRECTLY against these rules?
