In addition, the Manager plan to continue investing in undervalued stocks among names that are engaged in infrastructure-related construction ahead of the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and in those connected to the development of the maglev high-speed train
(connecting Tokyo and Nagoya) that is scheduled to start operating in 2027.

AffinHwang Japan Growth Fund

Portfolio Turnover Ratio (times) 1.09 seems a little high to me. however, growth funds tend to have higher turnover rates. These funds are more transaction-intensive as the managers maneuver for competitive advantages.

Idea of the Week: Fund Managers' Views on the Recent Chinese Market April 30, 2015

http://www.fundsupermart.com.hk/hk/main/re...?articleNo=9695

While the situation in Russia still remains weak, expected returns are now higher than bef ore, and hence, we are upgrading
Russia’s star ratings to 4.5 stars “Very Attractive” – the Russian equity market is a buying opportunity for aggressive, patient, and long-term investors willing to
stomach and ride out near-term volatility

Still more positive on Asia ex-Japan and the Emerging Markets
A continued disparity in valuations dictates that a more positive view on the Emerging Markets versus the developed markets is still warranted, and
we are maintaining a 5.0 star rating on both Asia ex-Japan and the Emerging Markets (where we expect the market to deliver strong returns over
the next three years), while keeping our 2.5 “neutral” rating on the US and Europe for now, on the very modest levels of upsi de we forecast from
these developed markets.

@jutamind

no expert but your second image has

AMB Income Trust Fund
Dummy Fund A
and you tried to paste on this row.

but the original template should be
you try to paste on this row <--- at least how i do it
CIMB-Principal Asia Pacific Dynamic Income Fund
AMB Income Trust Fund
Dummy Fund A
Fund A with MANY rows for U to Use
Fund B many rows.. Self copy
PLACEHOLDER: DO NOT TOUCH

your first image - i believe you are not suppose to copy row 11?
CIMB-Principal Asia Pacific Dynamic Income Fund at row 11 is default and present in original template and has formula etc? <-- everyone has this row in their template.

maybe you should download a fresh template again and start over.

FSM ftw!!!

because i am holding some funds with maybank, purchased through maybank when I was still new to unit trust and FSM does not have direct transfer facility with maybank.

FSM offering to waive the sales charge if I redeemed my existing fund at maybank and use that proceeds to buy other funds on their platform.

Oh ok. But I believe RHB Asia Financial Fund and RHB Real Estate Fund are invested either 40% or more in China or Hong Kong. So.....I could be wrong but it is not much of a diversification. You are still stuck in Greater China.

No offence yeah.
*
instead of geographical area, i was hoping to diversify into the property and within financial sector.

i am hoping monetary easing would benefit the financial sector the most. thus, changing my bet to bet big on financial sector. hopefully, more easing is on the way. but it could also lead to a rise in bad loans.

easier mortgage rules hopefully will have some impact on property.

and partly 4 out of 5 top holdings of big cap china and china india dynamic are the same. between big cap china, china india dynamic and manulife china, decided to go with manulife china and china india dynamic.

because must have sexy exposure too... hail algozen

rclxms.gif thanks for providing this info.
will definitely look into it...as this fund is currently not in my radar.

i believe Manulife Investment - China Value Fund is a better fund compared to Pacific Focus China Fund.

higher sharpe ratio
higher risk return ratio
lower annual expense ratio
return has been consistently higher than pacific focus up to 5 years annualized

@kevyeoh

it would be easier for you to narrow down to a few funds - eg. 5 of those in the same category.

download the fundsheet and workout from there. calendar year fund performance.

or click on any fund on FSM and look under OTHER PERFORMANCE DATA, that should give you calendar year performance too. but if you are looking for a table to rank them for you beyond one year, i am not aware of such feature being available.

or you could try and use the yearly return performance but their table can only display a limited fund at one time vs FSM

EI Small Cap funds anyone?  hmm.gif

is Kenanga Growth Fund is also a small cap fund?  hmm.gif
can someone please confirm?  notworthy.gif
*
KGF is a mix. up to LSY to decide

beyond 1 year - EI small cap (lipper award)
1 year - KAF vision fund is top.
less than 1 year, RHB OSK smart balanced been the top performer (market capitalization of not more than RM1 billion mix with money market)

my experience with KAF vision and EI small cap is that they seems to perform in the opposite direction but vision fund has been a better performer recently vs EI small cap.

KAF up, EI small cap down
EI small cap up, KAF down
