President Vladimir Putin approved a new $100 billion reserve fund over the weekend that will specifically aid the BRICS nations: Brazil, Russia, India China and South Africa.
It's another step by the BRICS to build an alternative so they don't have to go to the United States or the International Monetary Fund for any financial help.
The reserve fund will help BRICS countries with cash problems. It will get most of its seed funding from China, which will contribute $41 billion. Russia, India and Brazil will put in $18 billion each, and South Africa will give $5 billion. The timing is critical as many emerging market nations and businesses are struggling to pay their debt for various reasons.

here is a good read for those that likes India...

India is looking like the success story of 2015.
India is world's fastest growing major economy. Can it last?

Last week, Moody's raised India's credit rating outlook -- a sign of a healthy economy.
Smithie says that corporate earnings growth in India is in the single-digit range this year, and is expected to hit the mid-teens next year. By comparison, America's corporate earnings growth is projected to decline this year.
"India is taking over the baton of leadership in emerging market and possibly global growth from China," he says. "There is the potential for an acceleration in growth in India whereas the rest of the world is still slowing down."

For those that are still thinking if it is too late to "ENTER"?
Too late to invest? The usual problem with growth stories is that it's usually too late join the party. But India hasn't peaked yet. In fact, it could be heading toward a multi-year bull market, experts say.

some things to wonder about for HIGH risk High returns....

Holders of perpetual notes with no set maturity face the island's first redemption options in September, when three companies including oil services firms Ezra Holdings Ltd. and Swiber Holdings Ltd. can choose to repay securities sold in 2012. While Ezra says it plans to pay off the notes and refinance, their yield has surged more than 200 basis points over the last year to 14.2 per cent, suggesting it may be costlier to replace them. Swiber faces the same test after saying it plans to redeem its bonds, which have added more than 230 basis points.

( hmm.gif if costlier to replace them,...then may not redeem?)

If any issuers choose not to pay in September, "there would be some discomfort among investors when they realize that what they've been holding is not necessarily going to be paid off at the time they expected," said Vishal Goenka, the Singapore-based head of local currency credit trading at Deutsche Bank. "There is nothing right or wrong, issuers have already told them from the beginning the option was there, but there would be some confusion."

Im waiting for the 'right' moment to pump in more money into Manulife India Equities. NAV price as of last Thurs is the lowest since last year.
*
hmm.gif I think NAV this is not a good indicator for comparison between time.....example one of it is...any distribution between that time period could affect the NAV value.

I would normally use the Chart center under FUNDS INFO.
Chart Center is one useful tool available on FSM platform for all investors. It allows investors to plot funds’ or indices’ performance graphically over a variable time horizon. In our latest effort to add value to our investors, we revamped our chart center to improve its visual appeal and add additional features that can help investors make better informed investment decisions.

Somehow, reading all these analysis makes me  rclxub.gif
On one day, one ANALyst (using Pinky's term) says China's bull run will continue. On the next day, another ANALyst says end of bull run is in sight.

If we were to buy stocks directly, it is best to study the individual stocks rather than the whole market.
If we don't buy stocks directly, I guess we just have to trust the fund managers.

hmm.gif some times it is the mandate that leaves the FM fully invested in "that" market...it cannot pull out even in adverse condition...example....some funds has these statement..."This Fund is a feeder fund that invests at least 95% of its NAV in xxxxx"

Have a look at JAPAN?
latest 1 May 2015 Market Valuation report...Fair Value is 19....Japan PE is now 16.9

http://www.fundsupermart.com.my/main/resea...?articleNo=5804

Please note this disclaimer: tongue.gif
We would also like to highlight that the fair PE is considered a subjective number as it is generated internally by the research team, taking into conditions macro and micro economic developments expected to take place. As such, investors who view Japan differently from the research team would award a different fair PE.

It's Time to Get Ready for the End of China's Bull Market

The bull market turned 883 days old on Tuesday, topping China’s previous record by 56 days, after a 119 percent surge in the Shanghai Composite Index since December 2012. Even if the advance is measured from June 2013 -- when the gauge narrowly avoided a bear-market drop of 20 percent -- it’s still the second longest since Chinese bourses opened for trading in 1990.

Uncle Looi, what's the conclusion?  yawn.gif

since it is not a single country fund, Max it 10% of portfolio because most of the the Asia X Jpn funds has high coverage in there too....combined would be high
Was thinking of reducing my China Select fund now at 10% to increase my Japan from 3% to 5%
Overall my China/HK/Taiwan is now 22% (i just noticed it and is thinking too higH)
