I know we talked about how we should let the fund manager does his job and not overtrading funds.
But how much is too much?

Aberdeen World been underperforming compared to GTF and even GEYF, and my ratio for the 3 funds are 3:2:2
Should I switch camp and move some allocation from Aberdeen to GTF? Yes, I know, I've way too many funds sweat.gif

hmm.gif i think you have your own reasons to keep so many almost similar/overlapping funds...
if you still like to keep it...
i made a wild /quick guess (from the attached)....switching Aberdeen to GTF will still does not change much on the average performance of 1 yr and 2 yrs.......
try play around the figures in the excel file if you want..

Thanks!
I don't really have a valid reason to have so many overlapping funds... just itchy finger when I first started off n thought it's another way to diversify rclxub.gif

How long have you been keeping the 3 funds?
You switch camp if AIW has been consistently underperforming. But if it only underperformed in the last 3 months, then it is too early to act.

I have them for more than 1 year jor... at first it was GEYF that was quite hopeless, then later on it became AIW that's underperforming

hmm.gif But when market doing well they only manage 7%... then when market down will they lose more? Only time will tell
To be fair, My IRR is still double digit... not exactly the non-performer.. just pale in comparison of its peers

The ones that really underperforming, is my Hwang PRS, but too much hassle to switch... so let it be la, since I got 26% discount when I bought them
