Found a working Amazon Video for Android TV. This apk is taken out from Nvidia Shield. Tested and working in Mi Box.

Notice Ultra HD content cannot playback mentioned not enough bandwidth. I don't have such issue on my Panasonic TV Amazon Video.

Tonight will try another version take out from Sony Android TV.

Juat create Amazon account and purchase directly the prime service. It is official in Malaysia. For the moment I still use free monthly subscription from Panasonic TV.

This version can't download.

I also had test Sony version which is even worst than Nvidia Shield version. It can't even play the movie in 1080p but instead in 480p most the time.

None of the version is able to play 4K title. Not sure original Nvdia shield can playback 4K title from Amazon Video or not.

As for version bundle in Panasonic one had no issue playback for 4K title. Too bad it is Firefox version not Android. Can't load to Android Box.

Can't download from the apkpure site, apkpure app and play store. That link is dead.

The one in Play store no one can download as show not compatible with the hardware. You can check the comment at play store no Android TV user can download and it is actually not appear in Android TV Box. You only found it by searching at Google Chrome. (Maybe only for Nvidia Shield user).

Last time I install hppytv before and the quality is very bad. I uninstall after that

The unifi playTV is not great either but it is in a good watchable condition.

Netflix always my priority. The smoothness (hard to said in word, once you seen it then you know) and superior quality (4K, HDR and Blu-ray like 1080p) on Netflix is no way the Kodi and Terrarium can compare with.

If got legit paid service that is great with all latest content, I don't might paid it also. This is the reason I paid for Netflix because it got all latest Original Netflix show. I know you can find all Netflix Original show at Terrarium but you need wait and find source, and it is not as great as output from Netflix.

Kodi and Terrarium is only for content I can't find. It is backup only.

Yup exactly. except local one like iFlix. iFlix catalog not bad but too bad 90% of their title is SD quality only. If iFlix want to survive, iFlix should change and give option to choose HD quality.

I am actually very happy those legal streaming service is coming to Malaysia. I hope more and more such service will come to Malaysia.

If you notice new update mentioned fix for YouTube TV which is 400mb+, don't update it.

This latest stupid firmware greyout the install button for Not Android TV apps.

Whata stupid move did by Xiaomi! Please fix it!

Finally problem solved by downgrading the firmware to 1304. I am able to install back normal apk again now.

Everyone shall avoid installing latest update 1901 unless you want to loose the ability to install normal apk.

Instruction downgrade from 1901 to 1304 firmware - for Malaysia or International Edition Mi Box "MDZ-16-ab" only

• Download 1304 firmware from https://www.mediafire.com/folder/9k82rbe2nc0vw/mdz-16-ab
• Rename as update.zip for easier find later and copy to Thumb drive root directory
• Disconnect the power cable from Mi Box with power still on
• Press and Hold the Back + OK button
• Insert back the power cable
• Continue hold until you see it boot to recovery mode
• Choose Apply Update from EXT
• Choose Update from udisk
• Select update.zip
• Restart the device

Done! Now I am able to install normal apk back.

Cons of latest 1901 firmware - Cannot sideload any non Android TV apk as the Install button is grey out.
Don't upgrade this 1901 firmware as it is useless, they said fix YouTube playback but they is no YouTube playback issue I ever face.

Existing one not remove and ok but cannot upgrade or install new one.

I think all none Android TV apps as I try few and all grey out the install button.

Not sure. But seems Android 7 no such issue.

Yup. Lucky can found the firmware to manual install it. Without capability of sideload apk is very serious issue and if this is the future of Android TV then I think take Apple TV 4K better, at least I can buy or rent 4K movies. Haha!

Not only that, the 1901 firmware also make the Astro GO FC if you open using remote control due to appear of keyboard, need open using mouse or game pad then keyboard won't appear and no FC.

Ya need to very careful on update now.

If Android 7 out I will wait feedback first before install as downgrade from 7 to 6 is not possible without root and root kill the Netflix in Full HD and above. Even though I not using Netflix here but I use it when go back hometown.

Mouse is required because Astro GO is normal Android apps design for touch screen. The TV remote control can't navigate the apps in proper and execute the function.
