Format as internal drive let you move apps over it. Suggest only move games. Not all support as this depends on how the creator make the apps.

Finally success disable the useless Mi Recommended bar which only contain 2 apps in Malaysia edition.

Brown box not possible got HBO inside unless it is not original either the software itself, or you stay at US.

In Malaysia, can't even find HBO inside the Play Store.

It is automatically, when you reach certain apps quantity then it will show in second line.

I don't see the different beside added the menu button which missing from Mi Box 3 where it needs press and hold the center button.

They is 2 model. Mi Box 4 looks like exactly as Mi Box 3. Another is lower spec version Mi Box 4C.

This model came with Mi VIP and the system I believe is huge modified for China only.

Netflix will be only 480p if the device not certified. Any root device will not be certified as well. Your MiTV is China edition without play store. Your Netflix still only in 480p even you success side load it because the device is still not certified by Netflix.

So if you want Netflix in HD and above, you need to buy Malaysia edition Mi Box or international edition or USA edition. To be safe just buy from Mi official Lazada store.

Chromecast Ultra even troublesome to me as you need phone to cast over. If Mi Box or any certified Netflix Android TV Box let you install more apps for example iFlix, Shafa, Terranium, YouTube, Vimeo and many more which you can't do at your Mi TV.

Remote identical just label one of it. Done.

I know how cast work and what it can do but the experience using directly from TV is far better than cast. Why cast not that famous especially that ultra edition because it is not cheap and that price you can get a better TV box.

I got few friends previously bought cast and now all using TV Box.

Life is better simplicity. and this is my own preferable.

Make sure you install rotation app and set default to landscape.. Without this the Astro GO will crash.

Stick with Official Malaysia edition (3S) and not the unlocked edition. Unlocked is not required at all.

If you unlocked (root), the box will be permanent lost the capability to play Netflix in Full HD and 4K because Netflix won't certified root device and not certified device will be cap in 480p resolution only for Netflix.

MiBox 4 is specific design for China market now without Play Store and no Netflix certified.

MiBox 4 spec is very similar to 3s but running Mi TV OS instead of Android TV OS.

Only buy from official Lazada Xiaomi site can confirm it is legit not modified.

Why you need modify edition. They is no benefits on getting modify edition. All third party side loaded apps no need root or any modification.

As I know for the moment it only permanent affect Netflix playback resolution.

Custom OS by Xiaomi with lots of junk for China only and also without Play Store.
