Hi...I'm very new to this.
Does using this need monthly fees? If no , is it legal?
I don't watch much tv. Just thinking about buying one for my parents

Thanks

Just like phone, the apps on its probably need to buy or has a subscription fee.
Of course, its has free app too.

Its legal currently, but there're rumors to its to become illegal.
But we don't know when its going to happen or could be not happen at all.

Do research, buy it and enjoy.

Nope. You need to set your date and time. It must be the cprrect date and time.

Hello guys. I have a mi box 3 with ATV 8.0.

I connect it to my xiaomi projector and xiaomi home theater bar, but both makes my audio skip no matter what app i using.

it skips every 5-10 sec.

However, if i plug to tv, its fine. I suspect it's got to do with DD+ to DD conversion.

If so how can i fix this? how can i force 2.0 like my TV? Its unwatchable if the audio keeps dropping. sad.gif

Laggy on HD channels. Seems like Astro do this on purpose. Was working perfectly prior to the latest update. I heard rumours that they also going to stop Astro Go app on LG WebOS end of this year. What a shitty company.

Can check if there is a system update for the model. Newer ROM newer android version will stand better chance of running the new AstroGo smoothly.

I read few reviews saying Mibox S lags over time, to the point that it is unresponsive and needed a manual turning off/on. Is this true? And if it is, is there a workaround? Planning to get this box.

If ur usage is pure streaming only, it's good enough for its price. I sold my minix u9h and moved to mibox s, no regrets. I occasionally restart the device once a week, not because it's lagging, just thought it's a good thing to do.

My usage is just iptv netflix youtube iflix astrogo. No kodi.

I'm using it for sometime and don't find any lag. Only shitty thing is the new AOTG APK but not an issue for me because using a shared account with someone.
