how is that related to DHCP lease? hmm.gif
it's the mibox3 won't connect to my wifi when I set manual IP, saying password is wrong
when switch to DHCP, same password, no issue connecting

One way is to set the smart DNS IP in my router
but I don't need all my other devices on the smart DNS, as some sites won't load properly on smart DNS
*
Well, your initial post says u need manual IP for some reason, so DHCP lease would somewhat provide u that cause the IP will be sort of reserved for your box.

Anyway based on your last post, what u really need is not static IP, it's custom DNS. U can leave your IP to be dynamic and use the apps available in play store, search dns changer. Plenty of option available .

Good luck

RSS player for all Asian drama
Terrarium for all English movies and dramas
In Kodi, install Project Cypher or Made In Canada for LoL your sports games and also Icframa for Asian dramas

Then you are done

Hi there, anyone has issue login to Astro Go 8.1.93?
When I hit the Sign In button, it shows "couldn't find page http://goasllkhjasdoijhqaweoiljhzxd;lkased"

Other than login page, every other pages is loading correctly.

been tinkering with the box the whole day and couldnt come up with a solution, hope you guys can help.

what i have : MiBox2 China version running 4.4.2

what i want to achieve : Turn on -> Simple 1-2 step navigation -> CNN Live tv (this box is for my dad)

what i installed : Exodus Live TV for CNN stream. Simple enough to navigate.

what i tried and failed : Autostart APKs, tried 4 of them, none of them worked. Tried rooting with Kingroot to replace launcher via system files, rooting didnt work.

what problem i'm facing : mainly its the current launcher, its too complicated for my dad to navigate to My Apps as he doesnt read chinese.

anyone has any autostart apks that work? or do i need to get a usb male-male cable to root it with a pc?

Just received my Mi Box yesterday and I'm very happy with the product. Bought it from this seller on Lazada. Cheapest price for the international version (with play store)

Kodi, Spotify, YouTube and Netflix works great on it. Even got the Astro Go app to run flawlessly with some minor tweaks. Would definitely recommend this version of Mi Box.

Hey bro, couple questions:

What were the tweaks in order to install Astro on the Go?

Can it work without a mouse and keyboard?

Cause I'm planning to install it on an Amazon Fire TV stick using Aptoide TV and I just need to know if it works with Android TVs.

Mouse is required because Astro GO is normal Android apps design for touch screen. The TV remote control can't navigate the apps in proper and execute the function.

Also getting mibox 3 from the same person in lazada store. Just got it last two days ago. Tried astro go, Kodi, spotify, plex, terranium, youtube, netflix. All works great with and without mouse assistance. tried using usb to ethernet for internet connection but found that the mibox running not smoothly. Then return back to using wireless connection (5Ghz wifi router). everything go smoothly now.

However, there are few things to highlight such as NO HDR in netflix, some 4k hdr mkv are not smoothly played in mibox3 using KODI, and No HDMI CEC support as well. Currently it still running on stock firmware, in spite of knowing got apk installation problem with the latest firmware.

HDMI-cec is working for me though. I'm able to use tv remote to control my mibox via hdmi-cec

Easy to fix. A USB card reader can help.

yea i know...but no usb slot for bluetooth mouse anymore, unless using an usb splitter but this is adding accessories already

anyways still an awesome box

btw...just wanna know what's the difference between this international version from the older gen-1 gen-2 models - H265 vs H264 ? Android Tv OS vs MUI OS ?

The box comes with built-in Bluetooth. So no need additional Bluetooth dongle for BT mouse.
