Can share what are the best apps to install to watch US movie / Documentary / HK , TAIWAN programme or movie?

KODI works flawlessly on the MI Box international version with android tv 6. Because this version is the only mi box that is sanctioned by google and kodi also recommends this specific model for great results. The mi box for the china market does not play well with kodi and therefore SPMC is needed for these other boxes. So, install kodi if you're using the new mi box with android tv and install SPMC is ur using any other version of mi box.

The golden question! Not possible at this moment. Because the china version is embedded with a different ROM and also different hardware, i.e. 1gb ram vs 2gb ram on the new version.

Can you please check the bottom if it is-
MDZ-18-AA or MDZ-19-AA?

i think the best you can do is to change menu language.

You can still stream YT via browser right? Just not the Chromecast way...

With SPMC 16.6 and youtube addon 5.4.13 (unofficial) now I can enjoy 1080p streams.....love SPMC...

yes, u can! but u need a dongle

There is no LAN port on the mibox (international Android TV model). But I believe some people are using a USB to ethernet adapter to 'create' a LAN port. Not sure how effective this is.

As for me, my mibox sits 2m from my Asus router. Getting speedtest results of 250-350mbps on wifi-AC connection with my 500Mb Time Fibre so I don't really need a wired connection.
