Basically top & bottom lock just disabled right since they don’t really support those
So i might need to resort to something like switchbot lock?

No 1 seems interesting, so basically make the keyhole or the euro cyclinder smart.
So even that is compatible with this mortice lock, got recommendation?

Hi, anyone knows what sensor to detect open close for outdoor autogate Swing type.

I'm using Sonoff ewelink door sensor and doesn't  do so well as there will be multiple detection when gate open close

hi everyone. May I know how to make autogate (folding gate) "smart"?

my house has Aqara/Apple Homekit setup, does the Aqara T1 relay works in this case?

A few methods have, and you really need to do your homework to make sure it will work for your autogate.

Mine was simple, is using the 330mhz bandwidth remote.
So, to keep it simple, I bought a smart dongle that transmits that signal and works with the app I am using.

Its no brainer and no need to do any wiring.

But, I'm not sure if this will work for you.

Another method is to use the plug ins into the auto box to control it

Or using a finger bot.

Or switch module for low current or DC type

Can anyone recommend a reliable, high-quality smart lock for a condo gate and an indoor door that lasts long?

My previous auto gate relay...

12V battery --> 12v to 5v USB device --> Athom relay board. The 12v to 5v USB adaptor melted...

Using Aqara T2 now, the inching feature is bugged at the moment. When enable inching, the switch remains turned on... doesn't turn off. So I had to do automation manually to turn it off using homekit.

I agree 100% on this. So far ZigBee has never disconnected on me. But WiFi is like often. Whatever products that has ZigBee version, should get it instead of WiFi.
If wanna get WiFi better go for brand. My WiFi Sonoff lights so far no issue, but Woolley light like stupid like that, keeps disconnecting every few days.

Finished adding wifi direct control to all my ac, not relying on ir this time.
All you need is esp8266 with some jst cable & connect to port on your ac pcb (check your diagram)
You can add this to your homebridge and ha. Total cost is around rm12-14 per ac

Wiring - cn_wir port specifically because it’s scattered in the github repo. If yours is built in wifi module model just remove that cable from the port.

And that’s it, should save you 500 from sensibo or other devices. Obviously daikin has their own app, but not exactly open source. And mitsubishi electric has kumo cloud but they don’t exactly use it here. For other brands, you can just google it, i noticed panasonic, midea, haier has non cloud esp solution.

just in time as mine today it broke 32 devices and i'm seeing unstable networrk issue
using zytel from digi, though it mention 128 simultaneous device on 2.4Ghz but the setup onli allow 32 max.
have tried to put guest network (which doesnt seems to have limit) as same SSID still having issue, need to consider more powerful unit that can handle more devices on the 2.4G single SSID

In fact, you can get the Enterprise feature with a consumer router by flashing the factory firmware to 3rd party firmware, such as OpenWRT.
