does rf switches need neutral on your wall switches?
*
For broadlink switch can fit nicely.

Not sure, haven't purchased any yet since I'm still browsing for 4 gang switch
Which Z wave wall switch did you get?

The broadlink TC RF wall plate doesn't require neutral line, just a live wire is good enough.

[attachmentid=8432667]

I have managed to integrate the broadlink RM Pro and RM Mini 3 to Alexa, the RM tasker app running on Android has feature to bridge Alexa and Broadlink eControl app, now I can use Alexa to voice control all broadlink devicesĀ   cool2.gif
*
How many did you get and how long have they been working so far?
Also, how long is the command line?
Does it sound like 'Alexa, tell broadlink switch to turn/off lights' or is it shorter?
Btw, is it a 1 way/2 way communication for switch?
Last review I read mentioned that it's 1 way, like if you turn it off the app didn't update the last current on/off condition

then have to add postage and taxes, i think better to get from Lazada (no need pay postage, or taxes)
sometimes can even get further discounts

the switch cannot do dimming right?
*
No tax, just postage (rm13 for 1st kg, then rm6 for next 0.5kg)
Not sore about that, mostly on/off

there is another company that makes switches that can dim - http://www.livolo.com
but it dont have timer function and cannot connect to the Net
*
I've read on that one.
But the control is a bit different since don't have dedicated on/off button like other normal rf remote control

1 guy tried using with broadlink but it didn't work properly.
You can search for it on YouTube, forgot which link

I bought 2 x two gang switch, each cost ~ RM40, just install recently so I can't confirm it is reliable or not
each button in the Broadlink e-control app has an entry in the RM tasker, you can create a macro to combine multiple button actions, then, you can create a Alexa device contain the macro, let say I create movie macro which to turn on TV and amplifier, and I create Alexa device name in RM tasker call Watch Movie, then, you can talk to Alexa like

"Alexa, turn on Watch Movie", Alexa will automatically execute the movie macro actions

Broadlink TC is 1 way communication, just like other IR devices. z-wave, zigbee, wifi are mostly 2 ways communication
world.taobao.com or www.aliexpress.com, aliexpress is more expensive but it is English interface and mostly free shipping
*
Thanks for the feedback

I thought it was also wifi switch, that explains it
Your broadlink also in the same room like switch right? How's the rf signal coverage?

my switch is just 5 meters away from the broadlink hub, so signal is good.
*
Since it's only rf, i might consider getting other cheaper rf switch especially for the 4 gang switch.
Btw, broadlink tc2 doesn't come with remote right since rm pro already have those commands built in?

For wifi switch, itead seems to be the best option since alexa support coming soon after cny.

I calculated I only need - (TC2 switches)

3 gang - 2x
2 gang - 2x
1 gang - 1x

Not going to change anything for my rooms as my master bedroom I use mostly my LIFX lamps. The rest like dressing room and guest room - no need automate.

I think Rm1,000 can kautim
*
What else you plan to buy with 1k?
Seems like under rm500 should be enough for all switch listed
Maybe getting one of those motorized curtains?

Do you use alexa/broadlink to control your ceiling fan?
Mind sharing the best config to give proper command to adjust fan speed?

I don't have ceiling fan, I plan to control the towel fan, it is not difficult to control fan speed by asking "Alexa, turn on fast fan" or "Alexa, turn on slow fan" where "fast fan" or "slow fan" refer to the IR macro name which consist of IR command "high speed, medium speed, low speed"
*
Thanks for that, good thing my fan has discrete command for on/off signal
Btw, I'm thinking of getting this RF wall switch 4 gang since I couldn't find any 4 gang wifi
There's itead wall switch but only up to 3 gang, will see if they include alexa skill update for this too after CNY holiday ends.

Anyone here care to comment what other things to consider for wall switch, like the max load? Since I'm not much of an electrician
I'm gonna be using one to turn on 8 led lights (1 switch = 2 led lights)

Iteads got more than 1 gang? I only see one gang
This Chuguan looks nice - do they have a proper website?

If you are using LED lights, too much load won't be the problem but not enough load. If the load is too low, some of these switches/ dimmer don't work well. They make your lights flicker. That's why like Broadlink ones comes with capacitors
*
Can't seem to find any, does the chuguan taobao link shows that it comes with capacitors or not?

https://world.taobao.com/item/540194306845....96601.96.aOUxly

Oh wait, it's not sonoff, it's actually tantech switch which can be controlled by ewelink
You can see it listed in the wiki page under device details

https://www.itead.cc/wiki/EWeLink_Introduction

There's also cheaper wifi switch with normal design (not touch ones) but I'm doubtful about alexa skill for those

ok my alexa now can turn on and off my fan, harmony needs to learn from the remote as its not in their spec
and the remote only has off button , no on off
did a few research n settings only get it to work
turn on = fan speed
turn off = off button

now is which IR repeater to get so this function is possible in my room fan also, if not i would need another IR blaster for the VERA system in order for the room fan to work bangwall.gif
*
Maybe you can try this one?

Any idea how this work?
one end i plug the receiver unit into the harmony 2nd IR port blaster(in my living) and the 2nd unit i just place it in my room?
*
That should be how it works
If you do decide to grab that one, do provide feedback on the range

ok, will try n purchase
btw im just curious, from its description(its actually copied from another models IR repeater), it says it can link up to 3 different devices
does this means max i could control 3 devices only in my bedroom?
*
Well it's not exactly like harmony when you have to setup specific numbers of devices that you need to control
From what I understand it should transmit any ir signal it receives
For me, I'd probably add broadlink rm mini for since it's a cheaper option

Very nicely done review and thanks for the neutral wire tip
So still no group feature in the app
For international shipping service like sweden post/china post they usually past it to pos msia

Btw, have you tested with alexa voice command?
Assuming they've upgraded the firmware to include alexa skill
