Well, I am a player. I play table tennis. Uses a straight racquet. Meaning I can loop, attack and defence using my backhand. Very good. But long time no play as now I am working oversea for now. Just came out of Malaysia for about 1 month plus now. Coming back to Malaysia this 26th.... Hope can get a few good games with my father by then...

i use to play and stop since form 3. but now i think at least i still can play, above average ba! hehe. i use butterfly rubber 1 of the side i use "long faint" which is anti spin type. and becoz its "long pimples " with sponge (not like those u see kids using short pimple without rubber) it actually makes the ball runs weird and its good in defence ^^

the last thread on table tennis was closed T_T
supposed to have a gathering/friendly matches but it didnt work out. well, i use any bat as long as its a bat. i can use both styles but im better at using the one sided bats. started playing since 11. thats a long time but dont play that often anymore. |

after raya only go back. RM 5-6 per hour ? not really sure coz i dun have much frnd who play table tenis in college but only high school last time! and my high school frnds all Penang State Players lol kena bully only haha |

Maror u can anytime find my for squash! i play all kins of sports but not so keen badminton coz it spoil the posture of playign table tennis

LUCKY SPORTS TRADING 2.49, 2nd Floor, Pertama Shopping Complex, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, 50100 Kuala Lumpur. Last time I went there was like 6 or 7 years ago. I bought a yuki bat with flextra rubber but its quite heavy. Ive been playing regularly but my skill has been stagnant for all these years. Well to be honest I think its getting worst lol. Any advice on practice and skill improvements? |

For me har STIGA bats are the best. Hollow centered blades with carbon ply. Only problem is rubber no power

which rubber ur comparing with.. stiga rubber not as sticky as butterfly.. at first i thought its less power in spin.. but actually its worth the price maybe thats what we call technology.. in term of speed.. quite ok la ithink.. so.. may i know what rubber is good in speed? i love to learn.. OK I've searched the net for prices of rubbers and bats priced in RM. The best I found is this http://www.presports.com/.
Man! are the rubbers that expensive? Check out http://www.presports.com/index.php?cName=butterfly-rubbers and http://www.presports.com/index.php?page=2&...tterfly-rubbers. Or are these prices higher then actual?  I think Ill be buying a Sriver rubber as most sites recommend it. Generally there are 3 type of Sriver: Normal Sriver, Sriver EL and Sriver FX. These 3 are priced at RM 72.50 (presports.com). I also noticed Sriver G2 as mentioned by ungka. Well presports.com priced it at RM 112. I'm a top spin player (I think and very noob at it), so I hope to get the Sriver EL. Maybe Ill check out pertama tomorrow and try to get a good price  So where do you guys live? I'm quite willing to come out and play if you guys are close by. Btw show pictures of your bats and gears if you have the time. |

yeah good choice..
presports a bit pricey..its in subang if i'm not mistaken. if u wanna buy sriver.. go to pertama la.. butterfly gear are all there.. otherwise try UE3.. since its near KL i learned that there are 6 outlets in kl ue3, pertama, presports, one more i heard at pasar pudu.. but i'm not familiar with that area.. i've searched b4.. x jumpa la.. the other 2 i couldnt remember.. show picture..got no dcam meh.. lols.. |

Stiga is light so if u are used to heavy bats, once change to stiga bats u play like shiok.

Well I just bought new rubbers yesterday at Lucky Sports Trading in Pertama.
Being a noob and all I brought with myself only RM 100 (so that I wont overspend) and a few more ringgit for parking or traveling purposes. I intended to change rubbers for 2 of my bats. So I bought a Sriver EL rubber and a Flextra rubber. What I didn't know was that 1 rubber is actually for 1 side only, meaning that 1 side of my bat would be Sriver while the other would be Flextra. While all this while I thought that it was a SET of rubber for both sides (meaning red and black i.e. front and back). So instead of having 2 bats of rubber changed with 1 bat having a Flextra rubber set and the other a Sriver rubber set, I instead ended up with a bat with one side Sriver and the other side Flextra. Anyway, as said by you guys earlier Lucky Sports gave me a good price for the 2 rubbers. The Sriver EL, Flextra and side tape inclusive of old rubber removal and new one glued cost me RM107. Though the worker was kind of grouchy at the price that I bargained for from the boss, since after confirming the price he had a VERY tedious job of removing the old rubber. |

Hey... Im newbie here... Last time during secondary school.. I got played ping pong.. But long time din play already.. Since my condo (Prima Setapak Condominium) 3rd floor had open a booking for ping pong room.. I had started to play for these few weeks with my housemate.. If there is anybody here live at there.. Thanks for you all information... Last time I had lost my penhold bat de.. So Im searching for some shop to buy it.. Based on the information given.. I found out Lucky Sports Enterprise which is totally selling table tennis stuff only... So yesterday I able to get my new Butterfly penhold bat with RM 100 and the Butterfly Sriver EL rubber with RM 65. Is it expensive ..? Anyway I just bought it.. I will test it out in coming Monday.. Very anxious to wait that day to come to test my brand new bat.... |

There is a shop call Triox Sports at Subang, near The racks. It sells table tennis products too. Nice guy is there.
Try andro plasma if u want speed. It's better than the feel of bryce. ^^ I wanna join to if there is games. Sorry I am not a state player or wat. I just can play For those staying in Ampang, my condo has a table. You are always welcome to play. |

i also got play one de...use to play for MSSM under 15...then retired liao coz my partner died in a car accident...

hmmm, a player here too....
but havent played for a long time.... in mesia i have a table...but when im here.....the table is collecting dust oni.... started playing since.....i cant remember..... young boy that time.... the racket was the one sided hand-shake with yellow rubber....haha my racket now is butterfly.... havent played for so long...but next month got a tournament here.... just for fun...nothign serious.... im representing Msia loh.... haha...lol wish me luck! |

anyway why dun we just list all the possible place first.. then we'll see how.... and the details would be good such as rate,how many table etc.(FOC is better lols) lets start with putrajaya P8 RM4 per hour about 5 table putrajaya P16 RM4 oso but 2 table oni well..thats where i play.. list yours.. this one ive seen the place UE3 rate:?? bout 3-4 table(if not mistaken) anybody with connection.. try to ask local university they should hav one.. i've mentioned this b4.. i think UM is quite center to many of us...? correct me if im wrong. just guess. |

ace hardware got 1 small table i think RM4xx and it's smaller than the normal size, u want the normal size have to go spotrs shop look for it

nowadays, even if u use penhold (usually one sided) u can buy rubber for the back side and use it for topspin loops or mid to far distance cuts. its called the RPB (reverse penhold backhand)
one sided or two sided is based mainly on personal preference. no point changing if u r used to one. btw, what blade and rubber combinations are y'all using? |

if u really want 2 master it... but got a coach can make u learn basic skills faster than learn buy ur own... trust me dude... if we hold 100% 2 coach, we never develop our own skills... everybody must have his own style rite?? |

go to presint 8 sports complex : near pasar, near food court another 1.. presint 16 blakang petronas.. near alamanda the place called komplex kejiranan.. P8 got more table.. about 5 i think.. think pertama complex for me is good...not so good at directions. bought my sriver there 1 yr ago then still not open ceremony!! why not we arrange for game? used to play many2 yrs ago and now superkarat.

last week i went to ue3 complex..
its Rm6 per hour per table.. i wnet on sunday.. can get free park outside.. but inside just RM 1 per entry kot... dunno the rate.. but i pay rm 1 oni. those near 3k.. go there n practice la.. we're all superkarat edi.. so everbody pon tak semangat must get the 'TT addict' back.. then u'll feel like "i'll play anyone everywhere." so practice first la.. then we'll play.. if like this.. this thread end up hangat2 tahi ayam oni.. hope we'll able to gather someday |

hurm.. yah a bit too expnsive.. even 2 people share.. the cheapest place i know.. is putrajaya.. RM 4.. but Sanfa did mention B4 he played at titiwangsa (eye of malaysia there) oni RM 2. so anybody is goin? i guess its quite far to many of us here.. well.. the best thing about ue3 is.. its the TT outlet itself.. can get recommendation ( loosing money fast). oso can watch video on TT.. i dun like the shop.. coz it makes me wanna buy sumthing..haha |

hurm gud suggestion...
im about to try to downgrade a bit now im using alamana sound.. amazing speed but i heard bryce is more power.. dunno never try it b4. (havent meet one using it) im planning on using 729 rubber.. haha from 100+ to 40+ in price.. well... rubber dont do much if we ourself "tngan bangku" rite...? ahaha if ure such a gud player.. then gud rubber will help a bit or much so i'm downgrading.. decided! yeah fuh.. |

yeay i just get myself a new bat last sunday..
penhold 2 sided. 729 n Dhs rubber... quite slow in speed compare to my Almana sound but i start to like it.. coz i can play to the fullest.. need not to limit my swing... compared when i was using almana.. its so fast that i cant hit with full strength.... hope my skill is getting better with low graded rubber.. then baru la play with technology back (when rubber price reduced abit) btw long time no see sanfa.. may we hav a match nest semester |

the same price.. but the challenger got 2 type one is the 480 another one is 680.. the different is the iron size is bigger.. i mean the "table leg" the tibhar 500 almost the same with 480 challenger.. guess the RM20 more is for the brand.. but as long as u don plan to dive on top of the table.. as seen on youtube etc. the rm480 is gud enough.. and there is imported ine.. price 1000++ dun really pay attention la.. but that one really tough.. the iron n the wheel much bigger... and build tougher.. never thought that a table tennis need that... unless ure using it to jahit baju oso.. lol just kidding.. i remember sumbody mention baut mesin jahit last time.. ok guys till next tym. |

then go dig ur bat la.. go change rubber.. use the dhs or frenship 729 first la very cheap one.. quality good oso... imean for all of u to polish back those rusty move... if ure serious.. 1-2 month ok edi... since all of u been play back then. whoa.. where a.. i told u go to ue3 b4 go n play there la..dun wait 4 gathering la kawan.. play first.. when all of u addict edi.. then.. u'll have a courage to hav gathering... |

haha catch a cold last weekend.. so.. umm i'm goin bangi next week.. so to uniten's we'll start playin next week. so sanfa... i hope u could go get the form for the tournament.. huhu n to lanevocriss we'll hav a frenly sumhow.. lets arrange it... slowly i play at ue3 since im near there rite now.. but next week i'll be in bangi.. so i'll play in uniten/kajang or putrajaya.. cyber..is quite far la.. once in a while would be ok.. if i hav a konvoi then i would think bout it again.. hope to see alot of peeps in here.. TT is so fun ya.. love it untill u play in urdreams... |

its only one table. but i guess most ppl play in the evening.. i get off work at 10pm.. so i'll be playing during midnite..
maybe until 2am sometimes.. still, will have ppl there playing.. hahai heard got (ex)state players working around in cyber and they do play at this spot.. |

hurm.. got national player at that area....maybe.. not only ex-state huhu..
one young chinese guy.. he's working at DHL.. i'm not sure bout this.. but last time when i used to play at putrajaya there always a group of people from DHL play on every tuesday nite. and he was in that group.. dunno he just train those DHL fellow or he's one of them. also bring a camcoder for recording teir training.. i miss the moment play there. but quite far oso.. cant afford to go there everyweek.. huhu |

i think i wanna make my own beginner blade too im planning to buy cheap Dawei blade,cost around rm48 but i dunno which rubber to get im undecided between - yasaka mark v,dhs huricane 3,sriver but the yasaka n sriver is a bit expensive so i plan to get dhs hurricane 3 just dunno which rubber to get for the other side hope u guys can give some advise for a freakin beginner like me |

hurricane 3 also a nice one.. RITC was my first rubber.. so i guess its gud for biginner.. but if u do hav some cash.. mark v also gud one.. a very famous one last time... sriver a gud one too.. if u planning on sriver just get urself a normal one.. keep the FX or G2 version till later.. abit expensive n afraid u might not be able to handle it at first.. so io dunno how to say this.. but to me..(my oppinion/experience) i'd rather use low end rubber as a beginner.. coz u'll learn alot.. *note high speed rubbe----> stiga n bterflybryce |

yah, plaza UE3, i think the owner is Ex-national player.
I saw the oldman train his boy & girl once... its very cool man.... Foreign worker (buruh kasar) also use to play there, they wear jeans, casual, & without any shoes - kaki ayam... but, they all awesome... who is from penang actually? please help me... also, i still cant find any place to play at penang mainland.... very suck...  |

I'm looking for person that can play a stroke well.

2hrs is noproblem for me.. im a very sporting person.. i play 2 hrs of badminton NON STOP 2 times a week and that doesnt tire me at all.. so come... im ready anytime

hey hey... now only i figure out there is a table tennis topic here,
maybe i can introduce myself first... Hi all, I'm just a normal stroke players... i meant not a tournament type... can stroke well but not in competition. I played for nearly 10 years... last time trained at chinwoo KL and UE3 for short period. Stopped playing after get to this society... i mean working la.... erm... maybe 2 years din touch already... but still can stroke la... (i think) |

theres an open table at oldtown there.. not at MMU campus.. mostly casual players there, but once in a while, u can get to play wif some good players.. i play there mostly after my shift, so can see me there near midnite, maybe..

PJ there is a place called sports barn. They rent out the table for rm5 dollars per hour.
