QUOTE(kuntilanak @ Sep 5 2011, 10:00 AM) Oooh, I didn't know there's a thread for TT here... Nice... Anyway, I've been joining the UE3 session for about 2yrs now. Every Sunday 1pm-4pm. Rather cozy crowd there with 2 Chinese uncles (both 70+ ) and 1 Malay chap there as regulars (plus they are more than willing to teach). There are others joining from time to time, and when the owner joins too (when he's in the mood), that's when the 'fun' starts... Anyone here interested to join? @ Steven, What time is the Union place open for TT session on weekdays? Interested to join later on as I heard the level there is high. (Owner is ex-national champ ma... ) UE3, both uncle, uncle Lim, uncle Wong

Hi Jim_Jim, I just got back from Elite Puchong table tennis center, and I dont know anyone at UE3 tomorrow, are you going there tomorrow? If I just go there alone then it will be weird if no one playing with me. More over if my standard is not up to their par then even worse....

Hi, erik. You are welcome to join the UE3 session. The regulars will be me, 2 Chinese uncle (Wong & Lim) and 1 Malay chap (Sunny).
Actually, I'd like to go to Union since I heard it has shifted from Taman Paramount to somewhere near Tun Hussien Onn Eye Center in a large hall, ground floor. Anyone knows the exact location?

Sounds passable, I guess, for a novice. As long as you are comfortable with the price and feel of the combination. From my experience, China smooth rubbers better for fast/counter play, Japan smooth rubbers better for loop/range attack play. But that was a long time ago when China rubbers not so high quality. Nowadays, some China rubbers are in the same price range as others. Not sure about the quality though...
