Havent played for a while.  I like to play defence, most players i see only play offensive.. using top spin and smash.  Anyone like to play defence? Using backspin, block and chop? I am from jb.

Similar to my play. I love to block while my friend was top spinning. Long rally during stroking is fun 

Don't know? Its a good defensive stroke, you use it to take shots that fall below the table or to counter a smash.
Hard to describe, its a form of top spin.  I do not do it often, normally as a surprise to my opponent.  People rarely execute it because it require a high level of concentration and anticipation.  But when u hit it properly most noobies dont know how to counter. 

You add a big amount of topspin to the ball by moving your arms and torso from the low part of your body then graze the ball up to your head level.  Unlike topspin smash where u hit at closed angle, lob uses an open angle but still uses the topspin with added sidespin. Use it to counter smash or even chop.

I'm new here and have always been a fan of ping-pong but sadly, I have never been able to train because I can't find a partner to do so.

Recently, I've picked it up again at  campus in UPM since I can always find someone to play with and the table is located strategically at the ground floor.
I'm staying in Cheras, KL and am hoping to find someone to play with. Anyone nearby Cheras that care for a game?

I have to say, I'm not that good but I do wish to improve myself by playing more.
