Returned the basic model and got the 512 instead.

Ordered mine off Apple Online Store back on 23rd May. Still waiting for processing to even begin, and the money hadn't been credited unto my credit card...so I assume no progress yet.

But performance wise obviously MBPr is much better. Macbook is great for frequent travellers who wants the small light weight portability while MBPr is a more powerful workhorse. |

Your MBPr 2014 should be much faster than the Macbook, but i think it has to do with the OS. If that's the case i think the Macbook will perform worse than your MBPr 2014 IMO. |
